HC as rogue.
HC as rogue.
Never played a HC character before. Want to try it on rogue and wondered if someone here has any tips lika professions or talents. Or if rogue even is a good idea as first HC challenge.

Playing an HC rogue currently after having gotten another class to 60 I’m HC. Rogues, and any class, are all fine HC challenges. Professions for HC are generally recommended to be either herb/alch or mining/engi, both of which are fine for rogues. Leatherworking is generally not as helpful since it provides no further utility beyond raw stats.
Leveling is subjective. I see some people swear by combat. For me, going combat feels like I may as well be a fury warrior. I went subtlety since it further strengthens what makes rogues unique. Like improved stealth. Hemorrhage is also excellent. And preparation has saved me at least once when vanish didn’t work on the first attempt. So I’m a subtlety fan.
Just don’t ever rely too much on escape mechanisms working for any class (feign death, vanish, ice nova, etc.) and you’ll be fine as long as you play cautiously.

If you want to do a little more damage to single target ambush^
you can play around with either of them. I don't really have a suggestion as to when to talent into first honestly its a judgement call. I would try to get into sub as much as possible though for prep and that phat ambush crit damage.
