Consider, that maybe a not insignificant number of players may have Paused playing TWoW for some time due to the current circumstances. So the "actual" number of EU players might be much higher. And on top of it: a new EU realm might attract new english speaking players. And to add further: a new patch is around the corner, which might attract new players as well.

I suppose the positive thing to come from a fresh server is for those loud 5 people who shout for fresh can level to 30 and quit and ask for a fresh again.

Good point, the EU realm is confirmed PVP by Bowser in discord so the new Chinese realm should be pvp as well, if you don't do that, the chinese players who want PVP will just go play on the EU one.

It's always horde. All the alliance players will stick with the pve one

So the new server is pvp?
Well that kinda sucks.

It would be ok if they made grey pvp kills take honor away and possible to de-rank you. To add on to that you would have a bounty build up per grey kill and when you hit the limit you become a target for both factions until you pay the bounty tax. The tax could be a number of deaths.
RP should like that since they would have a murderer to hunt down and slaughter.
