How to avoid getting flagged for PvP
I'm still pretty new to this and want to make sure I don't accidently get flagged for PvP. So what should I look out for and avoid in the world.

Don't buff or heal players that are PvP flagged, because it will automatically flag you as PvP as well.
Green name - PvP flagged
Blue name - Not PvP flagged.
There are some (not a lot, but some) quests that require you to kill mobs that have a PvP flag on them (notably killing the Stonard Scouts in Swamp of Sorrows), avoid doing those quests because killing said mobs will flag you as PvP... ...And flagging PvP in Swamp of Sorrows is a terrible idea *grin*

Bewary of the questing in STV even if you are not flagged.
There are some quests, areas and mobs in the area that flag you out of nowhere.
I was grinding some mobs unflagged in STV and somehow i got flagged.
I was only aware of being flagged when rogue suddenly attack me. While I was able to escape, i am getting even more wary of the area. How the hell i get even flagged while i was just killing water elemental.
Anyway, just avoid STV if you can. Better safe than sorry for HC.

How does it indicate in the interface that you have been transferred to pvp mode? How to get rid of flag for pvp? How is it noted that the quest or mob will flag you for pvp?

In default interface "flagged" looks like horde or alliance mark near your portrait.
Wait a bit. around 5-10 minutes. Not sure if offline counts

it's 5 min and you have to be online.
Buffing the pets of pvp flagged players doesn't flag you for pvp.

If my searing totem hits a warmode player of the Alliance, will I get flagged as Hardcore player?
