Dungeon leader reduces player's critical strike chance

Post by Ftr » Fri Jan 12, 2024 8:00 am

In the raid on a 40 person dungeon, I found that the critical hit rate for hitting small monsters was normal. On the contrary, the critical hit rate for hitting leaders felt significantly reduced. I don't think this is a bug, but a setting. This is not something I imagined for a moment, but something I felt during a long-term raid on a dungeon.

The reason this thread exists is there is no API command to get the player's critical strike chance. Perhaps it's one of the vanilla quirks that ought to be corrected? Food for thought.

Crit is lower on bosses and any mob higher level than you, -1% crit reduction for every level higher than you. So 60 versus elite 63, there is a 3% crit reduction.

A level 60 player attacking a level 63 boss does not cause a loss in critical hit rate. Especially in the magic profession.

You can get loss in crit percentage because crit chance was pushed out of roll table by high chance to resist partially.
Xudo - tauren warrior 19 Sergeant armory.
I don't raid and rank, so you can not bother asking.
Nerf high level enchants on low level gear
Add lvl requirement to bandages
Best and optimal gear for 10-19 twinks
Have fun not only at 60.

I've never seen some person so dedicated to consistently posting shit takes and plain disinformation as you

partial resists can crit, a shadowbolt can get resisted by 50% then crit to do normal damage (if the warlock has Ruin talent), it can get resisted by 75% then crit to do half normal damage, etc
