Deleting Items & The Lost/Found Vendor

Hello, I am here to try and confirm something I was told, as it would mean a lot more freed up bank space for me if it's true. Please only respond if you are entirely certain that the following is accurate, no guesswork please.

I was told that if you DELETE an item (as in type in DELETE in the destroy item prompt) NOT VENDOR, you are able to retrieve that item from the lost/found vendor in Ratchet at any time forever, as they will never expire.

Is this indeed the case?

It's probably like 12 or whatever the normal vendor buyback slots is. I wouldn't even risk it with one. If you need gold and bags for space, farm for it. Please don't risk your hard earned gear on that.

I get you have a lot of time on your hands, so all you do is troll the forums, but this is a genuine question, I have people saying it stores as much as 200 items, and after testing it myself, so far 20 items I have stored.. so the egg is on your face pal.
