Elemental Cat Build

Tauren Druid lvl 60 HC S&S. I go by Iag (with an i). Some may know me from HC as Portsupply. I'm currently moving onto some other builds so just wanted to put out my results for this Elemental Cat Build thus far.

In short how this build works:
It uses a somewhat standard powershift rotation while also utilizing Tiger's Fury to keep up Blood Frenzy. When Tiger's Fury is activated it will also give you an addition buff for 12% increased haste called Blood Frenzy (Talent). When shifting out of Cat form, Tiger's Fury will fall off but Blood Frenzy will stay up for its entire duration.

Now for the fun part, every time you strike the target (may it be with Shred, Claw, Auto-Attack, Hand of Justice Proc) you will also hit the target for:
+2 fire damage (Gloves)
+2 fire damage (Shoulders)
+2 fire damage (Boots)
+2 fire damage (Incendosaur 2 Set Bonus)
+3 nature damage (Offhand)
+3 nature damage (Cloak)
+2 fire damage (Neck)
+5% chance to deal and additional 15-25 fire damage (Incednosaur 3 Set Bonus).

Each melee hit does an additional 7 separate spell hits to the target, each of which has a 10% chance of proc'ing Blade of Eternal Darkness for +100 shadow damage and restoring 100 mana to the caster.

Note: These hits do not have a spell coefficient, so stacking spell power does nothing to these "additional hits" nor does it affect the Blade of Eternal Darkness's shadow dmg proc

Looking at Engulfing Shadows (Blade of Eternal Darkness proc). It proc'd 137 times (100 dmg per hit) and therefore returned 13700 mana over the course of 185 seconds (~3 minutes) to the Druid.
13700 Mana / 185 seconds = 74 Mana per second = 370 MP5

Final Note: These "additional hits" can crit but the game does not count them as a "spell crit", therefore does not proc talents such as Natures Grace, does not give 5 extra rage in bear form from your Primal Fury talent, nor does it proc Clearcasting from Omen of Clarity. The only talent that it procs is Elemental Focus from the Shaman Elemental Tree. This is due to it saying "After landing a critical strike". The keyword for all this to work is "land / landing".

Now I rly wanna see your dmg with thaz self sacrificing dagger.

Can't imagine what that dagger would do to a Druid.. All 7 "additional hits" can proc at once which would cause 1,750 dmg instantly.. Poor Healers.. It'd be like healing a Warlock that has no idea whats going on
Also nice to hear that Wrath of Cenarius can proc.. don't know its internal cd (if it has one) but 132 spell dmg is 132 spell dmg and if those 7 "addition hits" can keep it up 100%.. that paired with a 1 to 1 coefficient to Dragonbreath Chili it might be nice for Cleave (since it has a Cone effect)

Very cool build!

Is the ornate bloodstone dagger even obtainable? Database dosnt show where the recepy is from.

Did blade of eternal darkness recently get shadownerfed ( pun intended)?
I saw a hunter about half a year ago using it and he was combining his equipment with some spelldamage. But a 0% scaling really ensures casters will never actually get use out of the item =(

"it ain't blizzlike is kind of the point of a classic+ server to begin with" - neither is Holystrike or JoW Proccing off off firedamage in a 1.12.1 client.

Yes but we get offtopic here, i was just asking if it was nerfed because i'm quite convinced it did scale on turtle in the past. I'm not advocating if it should or shouldnt - thats not my decision to make. Just curious :D

Nice. I was thinking about trying this but gathering all the items seemed like such a pain for something that might not even be worthwhile. Glad to hear someone gave it a go and made it work.

A few months ago some druid made a github ticket about this. He basically said h can do 500 dps with this build and things it's broken and they should not procc.

The ticket is still open btw.

Ive been playing this build for a while now, gearing it up a bit before showing it. Hopefully they don't change it.. would be really discouraging to be forced back into the Vanilla meta instead of being able to theory craft new builds with the new Twow items/talents. If thats the case, might as well start my warrior now...

It's kinda broken but It in a good way imo. Since this build doesn't rly, scale any further and you aren't doing more dmg than meta naxx players.

You forgot to mention that these Engulfing Shadows eat up all of the warlocks's Improved Shadow Bolts stacks at speed of 0.74 stacks per sec, reducing their damage output by 20%. That's why Blade of Darkness or Lifestealing enchant are not an option for raids.

Tested and confirmed it does not eat "Shadow Vulnerability" stacks

Lol, just retested it. It doesn't eat stacks anymore for real, though you get +20% Engulfing Shadows damage increase (120 dmg per proc). Seems like a new bug, but that makes this cat build viable. Cheers!

It does scale a little, other gear slots boost str & agi, crit %.

It's one of those never intended feature builds, good thinking OP.

It's not uncommon. Lightning Shield doesn't use up stacks of the Stormstrike debuff, but still does extra damage when it's up. A 20% increase to 13.6% of the damage would be about a 2% increase overall.

Multiply dagger's damage portion 13.6% by 115% from shadow priest and by 120% from warlocks.
13.6% * 115% * 120% - 13.6% = ~5.2% additional DPS up for total 545.1 * 105.2% = 573.3 DPS.

I've been receiving a few questions here and there about "a standard powershift rotation". The most coherent way of explaining it is probably through a simple "1 button macro" (this macro should not be used as an "end all" dps macro), but should be used as a steppingstone into the basics of Feral DPS.
This macro will give you little control over your Druid and should be used as a "learning tool". I'm aware that most Feral DPS mains will disapprove, but so be it. It is formatted this way for easy understanding. Im not going to give you a copy/paste (you need to understand what you're doing). This macro is purely backstab, and does not use Rip.

Note: There may be issues with values in this macro, since it was kind of made on the fly, but just change them as issues arise.

I had a similar build with my melee hunter with very fast attack speed with dual alcor sunrazor and wolf stance and indendosaur set

I have a paladin build liek that with woc and judgement of wisdom for infinite mana and incendosaur. I deal more dmamage like that with tempest keep 1h sword with haste procc and survival lantern for nature dmg hits, than with hand of ragnaros...

But not as good as druid, only 400 dps and with quite some gear

Soloing Princess is actually easier on Twow compared to Classic/Vanilla servers. As long as you kite Princess at max range she will stop and channel "Dust Field" every 4-5 seconds (as long as you stay out of range of her Boulder 20-30 yards). You can stealth all the way up to princess without having to fight anything. Once you're there you can just kite her in a circle around her room casting moonfire/insect swarm. Every 4-5 seconds (count in your head as your running) she will stop and channel "Dust Field", you can throw out a starfire if you want to kill her faster. Think it averages about 7 min per run so you'll hit lockout timer within a little over half an hour.

Note: if you get hit by the boulder and get knocked down just keep running. She wont be channelling her "Dust Field" for a bit, but will decide to start using it again in about 10-15 seconds. Always stay max range (I suggest getting a Distance/Range finder addon).

Yeah. Get your t1-t2 and then farm dungeon for 50 lvl solo to get dagger for other spec.

I don't raid and rank, so you can not bother asking.
Nerf high level enchants on low level gear
Add lvl requirement to bandages
Best and optimal gear for 10-19 twinks
Have fun not only at 60.

You don't need T1 or T2 to farm Princess Theradas. Like Portholes said, it's really simple to kite her if you're playing a class that has any ranged damage to them thanks to her Dust Field ability. But even if you're pure melee, you can go in, melee, and then kite while you heal/bandage up during Dust Fields.

Yeah, princess can be soloed on feral or balance with preraid bis gear. Just keep an eye to your mana and heal with omen of clarity procs

Finally I've got Wrath of Cenarius ring. Well in cat form it procs all the time almost without delay every 10s. But it increases damage of spell effects, in my case I need more healing done instead of spell damage. Because you cant cast druid damaging spells in cat or bear form effectively. So its not really useful but may be in upcoming patch there might be interesting builds.

Well, I can't say that it's a strong build for pvp. It requires tons of time to get such specific type of gear. On the output - exotic build. I would recommend it for dungeons and fun play, for those who enjoy experiments.
