Elemental Earths off Mining Nodes

Right now there aren't a lot of options for gathering elemental earth. You either pay 4g an elemental earth, or you just sit in badlands / arathi all day and kill earth elementals. This would be a good addition and both help the economy of the servers and give people more of a reason to mine.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

But which nodes do you put it in? Iron and mithril area already useful for various reasons (e.g. grenades, sappers), and thorium's usefulness doesn't necessarily need to be increased.

Putting them to each of them as a rare loot? You wouldn't farm specific nodes for them but each one has a chance to give you some by the end of the day.

Perhaps it could be a % on all nodes. Or if we wanted to really embrace it make a node of its own.

Increasing drop rates/adding to tables on elementals would be nice, but wouldn't it make sense to get elemental earths from the earth?

They added chance to get Essence of Fire to fishing in Lava.. I think this would be in the same line of thinking.

Why not up drop rates on earth stone like mobs ? That way you can farm them without a specific profession?

Transmutation of Core of Earth to elemental earth could work too. It was proposed numerous times

Almost all elementals drop this item, but the lower the level, the lower the chances.

Elemental earth should come from elelements, a random ore vain is not an elemental. This doesn't go well in the fantasy setting in my opinion and just waters it down.

I think it's better to investigate All earth elementals loot tables, how abut add high drop chance to elite giants in feralas, mauradon and azahara.
