It's honestly a pretty aggressive nerf, too. It only gained 4 physical DPS. The substantial reduction in spell power, combined with less stats overall, doesn't feel even close to proportional. It's a Paladin-only weapon that, so far as I can see, is now only itemized for the Disenchant skill.

Yeah. Unless you're doing slow mode, you don't really have much access to tokens without some serious dedication, so it's usually not worth the effort to do it when you're changing out gear frequently, so people don't.

JFC...this isn't a nerf. If you have the racial, levelling is easier and you save a little gold in endgame. If you don't have the racial, an optimal final build is still possible for other races. They should do this with all the wepskill racials.

Value is going to depend heavily on class and build, but Meditation is actually pretty good, IMO. It works for Energy and Rage as well as mana, which aren't as easy to generate on demand. Also, it basically makes Evocation a spell that everyone gets, or Mages get twice.

The auction house exists. This is an RP thing. There are lots of vendors and faction specific stuff that you'd use to have to go to tanaris and list on the ah.

The auction house can't sell soulbound items. The only way to get these items is from the merchant.
