Horde or alliance

Hi, I'm just about to join the server, which side is more active or is it about even? , I'm mainly pve focused, looking to try out rp, pvp my least important any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, also class wise are there any obvious shortages of certain classes?

I think there are more alliance players than horde,obviously we lack paladins though.
Ret paladins to be specific.

Classwise we need priests, tanks, mages and warlocks.
The choice of the faction should be about what you like most.
