The bad mpq file unzip you could skip and use the old 1.16 mpq file to refill, I try and it works.

I patched it via 1.6 login and downloaded the patch through client.

I download the 1.17 client. Decompress the error report. After 2 consecutive times, the decompression is an error.

Hi there, the file from direct download link has some broken files, dosen't work after unzipping; and update from existed 1.16 client, failed, the log says "patch-z.mpq" cannot be found.
Please help.

The download from directly download only contain 9 MPQ files, 3 HTML documents, and 1 interface folder. Does this case happened on everyone or it is the problem of my computer setting?

I met the same problem. When I unzipped the package, patch3~5 all damaged.

Bro, I dont know how I find this way. But I successfully update to 1.17. Before that, your client must be 1.65. And follow the guild line you can download a .exe file for update. Apply that .exe file and then run TWPatcher.exe as Admin. There you go! try it!

Hey guys, here is a solution that worked for me. if you still have the previous installation folder, make sure to download the patch(~350MB), than make sure to delete your wow.exe and wowfov.exe. Run the patch and it will reinstall the correct versions.

what about those who didnt play the previous patch and want to try out turtle wow now? what are they supposed to do?
