Put the Paladin on the back burner today because I started to dislike the feel, it gives me anxiety.
I got my mage up to 14 and I really love how relaxing it is. Admittedly I'm doing it the "slow" way, but I'm gonna get there. I've never tried AoE pulls and such. I'm just shooting frostbolts at one mob at a time, using fire when they close the distance. The other spells, I barely touch. Just whittling away at stuff while chatting on Discord is enjoyable.
I've yet to spend any talent points, because I just don't know enough. From what I can gather, I feel like Frost suits me best, but the builds on actual vanilla might be different from here.
How does the Mage work on Turtle WoW, and how can I get the most mileage without getting too complicated?

Frostbite shatter playstyle is what you are looking for.
Start like this:
https://talents.turtle-wow.org/mage/0-0-50I
What you will be trying to do all the way to 60 is freeze the mob and then crit it for as much as possible while frozen. So build up your spec according to that or read up on it - up to u.
