Transmog Suggestion Thread
Transmog Suggestion Thread
Idea for this came from a GM a few days ago.
This thread is meant to gauge what sort of transmog gear players would like to see added to Turtle. The addition of custom armor pieces has been a very welcome inclusion, particularly pieces that were previously exclusive to only NPC models.
If there is a piece of currently unobtainable gear you would like to see added in future patches please either include a screenshot or a Wowhead URL of the armor/NPC. Ideally this will only be gear that was present during Vanilla but certain exceptions could be made for TBC as well such as the Tier 2 recolors.

Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
I'll start off with some of my personal wish list items:
Wound Dressing/Anti-Septic Soaked Dressing
I've seen this one requested before. This is a popular roleplay item since many of our characters tend to get injured on the regular. Has been present in the game since Vanilla. Perhaps they could be crafted via high level First Aid giving players more of an incentive to level that profession.
Gina Lang's Customized Spellbinder Robe
I LOVE this robe, it's so cute. I know it's just a cropped Spellbinder Robe but there's just something about it that made me always want it. I feel like it would be a fairly simple addition. My idea was for it to be either a BoE Green item or a level 20ish quest reward both factions could obtain.
Additional Swashbuckler's Shirts
Swashbuckler's Shirts are very popular for casual outfits and having a wider choice of colors would be wonderful. I know there exists blue, green and purple versions that are currently exclusive to NPCs. My personal favorite is the one worn by Martie Jainrose in Lakeshire. Like their black, white and red counterparts these would be crafted through tailoring.
Darkmaster Gandling's Helm
I know that Ironweave Cowl uses the white version of this model which is very nice but I really would like to see this version too. Perfect for a Necromancer transmog. My idea was to have the item drop from Gandling himself, or perhaps an Argent Dawn quest reward involving Scholomance.
Tier 2 Recolors
These were added in TBC alongside recolors for many Tier 1 and Dungeon sets. The nice thing about these is that they're all class, meaning players can use these sets without restriction while the original Tier 2 remains untouched. They don't even have to be the same colors that were introduced in TBC I would be interested in seeing NPC exclusive colors or even completely custom colors! I could see these being obtained at level 60 either through quest rewards or have them added as drops in the custom endgame dungeons.
That's all I've got for now.
I look forward to seeing your suggestions as well!

Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
I would love to see these implemented. My advice would be putting some suggestions for how to obtain them as well, in a reasonable way. Not just "1 copper from a vendor," but also not something like a raid boss.

Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
Thank you for your input! I updated my post with possible options for obtaining the items and I encourage everyone else to do so too. ^^
Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
Hey,
Maybe it could be done in such way:
1) You get "normal" version of an item;
2) You get the recipe of item improvement (could be dropped from dungeons trash with low rate)
3) You take this item and the recipe to person with corresponding profession (if the item is cloth, You should bring it to Tailor, and if it is plate - to BS master);
4) Person that has required profession updates Your item using some additional ingredients;
5) Trade operation is same as enchanters;
6) You get recolored item and loose 1 recipe.
Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
I would love to see some decals to add to your armor and weapon, like blood splatters or blood dripping from your weapon, heavy scars, magic runes ontop of you arms and broken pieces here and there.
For those who are into that "nude RP" Stuff (see other post here viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3858) there could be a blood splatter decal for the chests.

Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
Some more wish list items of mine.
Scarlet Sin'dorei Robes [Display ID: 21012]
Very beautiful robes for spellcasters and especially High Elf roleplayers. My idea was to have it drop as a level 55 rare chest from Lethtendris in Dire Maul as she's currently the only NPC in Vanilla who wears it.
Ranger's Vest [Display ID: 33372]
Some more cutesy High Elf roleplay gear. My idea was for it to be obtained either as a green quest item Alliance players could pick up in Little Silvermoon or for it to be simply a cosmetic item that could be purchased in Alah'Thalas for 50 silver with the requirement of being level 10 and friendly with Silvermoon Remnant.
Cloth Blindfold [Display ID: 4054]
I always liked the white blindfold Theresa wears. Head gear like blindfolds and eyepatches have largely been restricted to leather items, so it would be nice to see some cloth versions as well.

Shoulders and robes are already present in the game iteams by default.
it would be very nice to have a belt and a hat
Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
Hey all, I don't know if my comment is connected exactly to this thread, but still I want to offer it.
I am a huge fan of glowing effects on weapons. If it is somehow possible to xmog your weapon enchant this would be really amazing.
let me give you an example:
I am using enchant crusader on my ret pally, but I would like to have the glowing effect of fiery weapon or icy weapon.
My idea (hope is not super hard to be implemented) - a new quest like the ones for xmog tokens, but provides you win weapon glow that you can apply on a weapon (I assume weapons with their own glow effects cannot benefit from this).
For example - a quest for icy weapon glow effect one time usage - requires some glowing shards, some herbs and some world drops (that are not in use).
Second example: a quest for fairy weapon glow effect one time usage - requires some tourches, some fireblooms and some world drops.
We can continue with all available glows.
I really love the idea of providing materials instead of pure gold, this is opening rooms for economy on the server to grow and keeps the idea of vanilla wow.

Lindsay Ashlock's Custom Dress [Display ID: 3368]
I love the top/dress that Lindsay Ashlock wears, Lakeshire has so many well dressed ladies!
I could easily see this being obtained as a level 20-25 quest reward, perhaps from a custom quest in Redridge for Alliance and Hillsbrad for Horde.
Eralan's Custom Shirt [Display ID: 16678]
Some more cutesy High Elf roleplay gear! My idea for acquiring this would be either from a vendor in Little Silvermoon or a questgiver in Alah'Thalas with a level requirement of 20 as well as being Honored with the Silvermoon Remnants.

and

would be better if it will be an axe so shamans can use it, especially for those who RP as troll shamans, it looks cool and doesn't look like a sword that much
and if possible please give us Zul Aman shoulderpads, it looks very cool and badass

Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
I'm interested in the original Bloodfang Hood. That model isn't available in the game while the rest of the armor is. There's only a blue version available (Abjurer's Hood).
Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
Now that I look at it, I don't think the yellow turban is available either.

Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
I would like to see:
invisible gloves to show off those wrist slots
scaled down polearm models for daggers, one hand swords. (hoplite style)
use in game decor for many weapons and shields. (horde huts full of unique shields and weapons never used by charactors)
guild back flag instead of tabard. (sport guild colors and show off chest.... armor or bare skin either or.)
Adaptive tabard as named by ascension server to add the flap to your chest slot model.
Shirt slot over armor instead of under it.
NPC only armors added to player obtainable items (example, sandfury orange robes from ZG.)

For guild back flags were you referring to it looking something like this but with guild crests?
Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
Patrice Dwyer's Custom Scouting Tunic [Display ID: 3543]
Another customized piece of leveling gear that looks much better than the base model and is currently restricted to just a single NPC. My idea of how to obtain this would have it be a level 15-20 green quest reward in Silverpine Forest for Horde players (Perhaps with Patrice herself as the questgiver) and either Westfall or Redridge for Alliance players. The quest could potentially revolve around poisons.

Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
I want to offer an option for warriors.
There is no light, combat armor for a warrior in the game that does not hinder movement.
Changed color and removed one shoulder

Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
Great addition for plate would be:
https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31176/ ... handguards
This model is in vanilla, but not the silver version. In-game only has the gold version.
Same with:
https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=10170/ ... -pauldrons
Would be nice to have the whole silver-version outfit.

Above all, I would love the outfits worn by the Teldrassil Sentinel. https://www.wowhead.com/classic/npc=357 ... l-sentinel
Many of the appearances worn by this NPC are not made available via quest rewards or loot at all.

Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
I believe the Sentinel outfit actually was added to Turtle recently! It's a level 25 mail armor set that can be purchased from Anisalah Starcaller at Honored reputation with Darnassus.Saxxon wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 6:23 pm Above all, I would love the outfits worn by the Teldrassil Sentinel. https://www.wowhead.com/classic/npc=357 ... l-sentinel

Shame that it's not leather! Thanks for the hot tip. Suppose I'll have to wear it on my hunter or something.Zeldy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 8:29 pmI believe the Sentinel outfit actually was added to Turtle recently! Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
I just want to be able to make certain pieces invisible.
Most importantly shields, for more flexibility when making tank mogs.
Belts also look bad on some mogs.
So my #1 wish would just be to get an "invisible X" for every item slot. :3

Re: Transmog Suggestion Thread
Would love to see this appearance added to Turtle as a mog option to go with the Peerless set! Opens up some new avenues for Horde grunt RP (and maybe NPCs too depending on the location). Most of the other shoulders have BoE green versions (serpentskin, drakesfire, etc) so it'd make sense to slot the blue appearance in there too.
Also more troll stuff is always welcome. Fist of the Deity (and a custom flipped offhand version? uwu?) would be super poggers. An option for troll tribal faction reps maybe?
I also love those belts with the extra bits that show up on your character's legs, more of those would be amazing as well. Again, could show up as BoEs, or even as custom quest rewards tbh
