Minimum system requirements?

I just found out about your server today. I would love to join. Are the system requirements equivalent to when 1.12 was released? Or are they heavier?

I do not think they are heavier. My PC is a medium end from 2013 and works flawlessly.

Vanilla release requirements:

Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
800 MHz or higher CPU
32 MB 3D graphics card with hardware transform and lighting, such as GeForce 2 or better
4 GB or more of available hard drive space
256 MB or more of RAM

MacOS X 10.3.5 or newer
933 MHz or higher G4 or G5 processor
ATI or NVIDIA video hardware with 32 MB VRAM or more
56k or higher modem with an Internet connection

You are good to go in 2018 on Windows 7/8/10 if you have at least a 1,6 GHz Core2Duo CPU, 2GB RAM and a 128MB Geforce 6600 GPU. Modern integrated graphics like Intel HD 3000 or better work aswell. 1GB RAM is sufficient on WIndows XP.

You need much better hardware on large servers, no worries on Turtle WoW

I have run wow back in the day with a dual Pentium 2 at 450 and 1GB of Ram with two hard drive in a raid 0 and a Geforce Ti 4800. The game run well for the most part like 40 fps out in the world. Just when I was in a city it would tank or if a lot of spell effects was happening.

I later Ran it on a Dual P3 at 1.4Ghz and 1.5GB of ram with a Radeon 9800xt. The game was butter smooth then for a while.
