Suggestion for some bag changes.
Suggestion for some bag changes.
Herb bags changed to Alchemy bags that also hold vials and non-herb related Alchemy items like Oily Blackmouth or the claws needed for rage potions.
Leather Bags also hold a default skinning knife and any other items that are potentially used for leatherworking other than just leather.
Mining bags same deal for blacksmithing and so on.
Nothing game changing about this, just a general QoL improvement.

Re: Suggestion for some bag changes.
make bags made of leather?? who would do such a thing. that is crazy

Re: Suggestion for some bag changes.
I was implying the same for enchanters when I said "And so on".
Would definitely support allowing bigger bags as well, at least for crafting, just give them steeper matts to create them. As far as leatherworkers making leather bags, and blacksmiths making mining bags, that might be a bit too far since that takes away from tailorings niche but either way, the bags could definitely be due for some upgrades.
Honestly wouldn't mind the creation of 1 new bag time that was made by blacksmiths only, a bag that can only hold soul bound gear. For players who need multiple gear sets like tanks for different encounters. Would also make it easier when dealing with itemrack addons or stuff like that when you go from dual welding to a 2 hander would make sure your other weapon would always go to that bag instead of your others.
Re: Suggestion for some bag changes.
Was thinking either a footlocker type thing, or maybe chainmail. Could see it done in leather too. Neither of them are anymore unrealistic than a bag holding 2 full sets of armor with weapons and trinket and all. Or an herb pouch holding 12 sets of 20 of any decently sized herb. Unless we are talking about the pouches from Legend of Zelda or Harry Potter.
Re: Suggestion for some bag changes.
Thinking about it, it probably would be better to have Leatherworking make the gear bag I was thinking about. Leatherworking really provides less utility than most other professions from what I can tell. It gives gear and not much else while Blacksmithing gives gear, weapons, chains, spikes and all that.
Leatherworking really does feel like it should offer a little more than it does.

So I have another idea,
What about making a jewelry box, a 24 slot 'unique' box/safe that you likely will put into your bank that can hold only jewelry, so trinklets, rings and necklaces.
only obtainable through a unique quest, and requiring items from several professions, like a lock from Engineering, socketed gems and gold plating from jewelcrafting (for the exterior finishing) an arcanite 'safe' box from blacksmithing, mooncloth cushioning on the inside...
it could also be called a trinklet box, so ha it can only hold trinklets, but I think it will fill a niche, in that it can hold more of the collected 'fun' trinklets which become obsolete which you currently try to keep in the bank causing storage problems. Perhaps also handy for pvp to carry the boatload of trinklets with them.

Re: Suggestion for some bag changes.
That's actually included in the gear bag I was talking about. It could hold any gear you could equip that was soulbound to you. So you could use itemrack or other gear addons and your gear would automatically go to that bag as well when you equip something new, your current item would go there. So no more trying to search for both your weapons when you equip a 2 hander and they both get removed.

Jewelry Box would also be nice to put all the Malachite, Pearls, Shadowgems, Moonstones ... That you find on your journey that end up clogging your bank because "you never know"Dr Thrax wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 12:14 pm So I have another idea,
