Unfortunately a single group will continue to farm this for the BoP mount and other BoE epics.

They are getting the tag *suspiciously* fast, and if they dont get the tag they force the 20k damage raid wipe mechanic.

I appreciate the effort required to develop an event like this, but it seems like 99.9% of players will not have any opportunity to complete this quest. The campers will grief the newbie players and rake in the rewards

Just make it instanced, a group is always killing him or griefing other players, that's the spirit of twow?

I would agree if things like autoclickers didnt exist and the boss didnt have a "wipe everyone" mechanic if they lost the tag.

Appealing to the flaws of old wow is goofy when we are on a server that intentionally addresses many of those flaws.

They should've moved the quest away from a world boss kill. It isn't helpful to gatekeep a 20 slot bag from much of the playerbase when it just encourages people to buy 36 slot bags instead of playing the game.

The spirit of old school WoW also isn't to have 200+ people camping it all of the time. How many people in 2004-2006 were camping world bosses on a server with a population cap of 3000? I guarantee you its a whole lot less than the people sitting in Snowball's cave right now.

Ranting aint gonna fix shit. They 'fixed' this issue by not fixing a damn thing. They are just like the US government haha!

There is a reason no game does worldbosses anymore.

The tag mechanic in classic means you get massively rewarded for sitting on the respawn timer, build a group beforehand and placing huntertraps on the spawnpoint (which the group that last killed him has a better chance od remembering accurately)

The boss also being filled with valuable SELLABLE loot means there is incentive to farm and camp it, even if you can not use any of his bop drops.

Raidbosses should be summonsble for a matprize that is worthy of the raidsize expected to take them down and then be tagged for the group that summons them (see silithus lords)

Because the process of tagging them and forming a group on time is so tedious, the vast majority of people just simply ignore worldbosses alltogether. Some may remember when ostarious could be summoned whenever people wanted to do him.

It shouldnt have been free to do so, but thw prospect of going to do a raidboss in the open world with your guild when your guildies actually have time was awsome. Now it got a cd and its camped by 1-2 groups

This Snowball fix is just a joke and show how the dev team view us... From now on, my time and money are going to be spent on a private server that respect their users...

There were more than 300 people in the cave yesterday, coincidentally they always tagged it first. The 2 times they didn't do it, they tapped the boss.

Tagged it faster than them twice. Both times they griefed our attempt at killing it. GMs replied with "we can't ban players for casting a spell", which is a weird way of phrasing it, since that would also apply to anyone boosting a Hardcore character, yet that is (supposedly) a bannable offense.

Kind of. It’s more of the older MMO spirit with Wow being the one to get the ball rolling on the trend of instancing content but there’s still a lot of it in vanilla Wow.
