Righteous Defense (Paladin Taunt)
Righteous Defense (Paladin Taunt)
AoE taunt, given that Paladins are an AoE tank. Righteous Defense somewhat did that in TBC ( taunting 3 enemies off a friendly target). Make it just an AoE taunt instead? And maybe baseline lvl 15 or 20? I'm not expecting to replace Warriors with main tanking but just something to help with aggro issues.
Re: Righteous Defense (Paladin Taunt)
Bare minimum there needs to be a regular taunt for pallies. The one tied to a seal is just... Atrociously bad design and heavily mana intensive on a class/spec that's already mana dependant.
Elmhoof - 60 Feral, between tanking/dps (Main)
Anbone 34 Shadow Priest (Planned secondary main)
Manypunchman - 10 Naked Troll Boxer (Hardcore)
I'm back! More or less...

Re: Righteous Defense (Paladin Taunt)
Taunt does not fix threat issues. If you're not doing enough threat, and you taunt, you're still not doing enough threat... it will leave you momentarily.
Taunt on a Paladin prolly should be gimmicky, to make it unique. You really should NOT need it that often. It should be more for threat drop mobs (the annoying af bugs in AQ) and specific encounters/situations. You really shouldn't be using it frequently.
Prot does suffer from single target threat generation. There are other threads discussing this.
