Update on X-Faction / Merceneries Battlegrounds

Saw the cross-faction battlegrounds feature being mentioned on the announcements quite awhile ago but haven't seen any updates on this. Is this still intended to be implemented?

Feel like x-faction could help reinvigorate the pvp scene a bit: make it less repetitive playing with the same 15 people over-and-over, and probably help with balance somewhat.

I hope it's delayed infinitely. As a caster I hate playing against Shamans.

Don't worry it's gonna be implemented right after the Hanzi ban and SEA transfers. Probably just before 2v2 blood ring returns.

Instead of 2v2 arena readded, I would rather keep arena be 3v3 just on blood ring day and 2v2 on off days.

Comp is important, but individual player skill and teamwork is way more important in my opinion. I'd rather get more opportunities to fight alongside some people that actually try rather than 4 paladins AFKing at ST and GM because they lost the first fight at blacksmith

There would be both paladins and shamans in both team tho, so it would balance itself out.

For me it's fine crossfaction in Nordanaar though the "join as group" button for AB and WSG should be disabled for a good experience; otherwise it would just increase the chance to have a group of casual players against a premade group of PvP twinked-out cheesers.

Also there's still the problem of the honor progression system which requires a huge and stressful amount of weekly BGs to get a new ranks for later decent rewards.

We could exclude just shamans and paladin from crossfaction bgs and only allow all the other classes to switch sides.
This will also help finally proof how busted shamans are in pvp when compared to paladin after almost everything else is equal (players, racials)

The idea is nice, the reality destroys it though. It would make sense in Blizzard's Classic where there is enough population to fill both types of servers: the ones for premades and ones for casuals. But Turtle WoW's reality is that there are not enough players. In rush hours there are maybe 2-3 BGs max on the same map. Premade would just join one by one and the effect would be the same.
