Best PvP Pet => Broken Tooth or bats?

Hello,

I've been doing BGs with a 30/21/0 build (to get the stun and Scatter Shot).

After taming Broken Tooth (who was, from what I remember -15 years ago-, the coveted pet for PvP hunters), I noticed that in BGs, many hunters had flying-type pets, like bats.

So, I was wondering why: the damage, the skill? Their size making them particularly annoying for enemies? There seems to be something I'm missing about this, but I'm not sure what :)

Could someone explain this to me?

Most likely bats from zulgurub, same attack speed as Broken Tooth, easier to obtain.

Take the Bat. The damage difference is miniscule and wont often make a difference in pvp.

But the bat obscuring the enemy players vision can actually be highly useful. Notably in group vs group scenarios, it can be vital seeing the battlefield clearly.

The fact that the bat is way easier to obtain is just the cherry on top.

Id only consider broke tooth over a bat or a boar for pvp if you are nightelf and wanna make use of shadowmeld

Oook, that confirms what I was thinking.

As an opponent, I find bats more annoying, but I wasn't aware that their attack speed was equivalent to Broken Tooth's.

Bats also reduce melee AP by 100 which is a small survivability boost for you or your allies.

Not easy as a 100% solo player (like a few other things).

Can it be tamed 'solo' without the instance being cleared beforehand?

The only ones you can pull one by one are the ones flying above over the heavily patrolled area. Its most likely much much easier to just find a zg grp and ask them politely to let you tame one once you get there

Broken Tooth have two damaging abilities: Bite and Claw.
So if you want to maximize your DPS, choose a cat!

against casters tooth or bat are awesome,against melee not good.you can buff them instead

I like boars. Charge stuns for 1sec. Thats useful time if you ask me
