Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Thank you Charcoal, your feedback it means a lot to me! :)
I have been working nightshifts so I was a bit out of touch with the forum. Will be posting a new one soon.

Aku'mai, the Devourer, Pet of the Old Gods, has been summoned! Tremble Mortals and Despair! For The Hour of Twilight is Come!
PS.: Christmas Present for Mantigora
whew I think I stretched my drawing abilities to the limit on this one but I had gained lots of XP from it and much fun too.

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Thanks for the nice present, Xantros.
You have outdone yourself with the statue! It really looks so old and weathered.
I look forward to your upcoming work. You keep getting better all the time.
P.s. I also like the fire in the braziers a lot. Very magic-y looking!

Something silly I whipped up on a whim.
When you put the dough in the oven at night, the Vampire Bread will rise.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Hey there turtles!
After being sick (again! ) and low energy I have finally completed my next chapter cover for:
The Burdens of an Apprentice
Poor Abigail, she looks as tired as I felt, probably some of that came through in my art.
I got the hang of backgrounds now, making a stained glass window was a challenge, and putting a slanted shine on it even more so. Experimenting is fun and tough. But overall I am very pleased with how this one turned out and had fun making it.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Here is the cover image for Chapter V of my story.
A Reckless Quest
I used everything I had learned so far and experimented a fair bit too. Because of that it took me a long time but it is finished now. And I learned even more! I really like how the backgrounds been turning out lately, love drawing them and my style for Abigail has become consistent. But I have also learned that I do not like Hedera plants and I will think 3 times before I draw one... so hard!
Anyways, I hope you turtles like it! Stay Slow!
Edit: Open the image in a new tab, then you can zoom in if you want to see the details. I am very proud of the hair texture.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Space Cadet Abigail, ready to blast some Splorggs to bits with her trusty Zapper!
A little something I whipped up in a week. Always wanted to do some retro sci-fi drawings.
Then I remembered Spaceman Spiff, from Calvin and Hobbes and I had to do a spoof.
Hope you all enjoy this as much I as do!
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
That one looks really good. I don't know why but it gives me heavy Commander Keen vibes.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Thank you! I didn't know much about that but now that I see it, you are right. I had Spaceman Spiff in mind but this works too :D
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
This is a little something I made for my friend's birthday.
It comes once a year so, might as well make it special.
And wouldn't you know it, my birthday comes tomorrow.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
If you ever feel bored or think that your life is dull, know that it can be much worse.
This was too silly not to make! hehe
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Summertime Splash Part 2
It is so cold and foggy here, I had to travel to a tropical island to finish this one.
A bit late but at least it is done.
Learned a lot between this and the first part. Got my character design to be better also.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Happy New Year to all of you Turtles out there!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas too! :)
And remember. Everytime Abigail sings, an angel fall out of the sky.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
"I love the blue sky, to lose myself in its deepness dreaming,
Gazing, as clouds drift lazily up above.
I love the sunshine; its light fills me with life,
While a slight breeze caresses my cheeks.
Yet in my mind, there is but one rigid thought.
Winter, where have you gone?"
Well, at least Abigail gave it a try. Doesn't work so well without snow.
We have not seen much snow lately, only sunshine and blue skies, so I thought to capture that here.

Duh, somehow I not happened to see this topic for way too long.
I really liked your Aku'mai painting and the amazing Spacewoman Abigail! :)

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
I am glad you took the time to reply, I get very little feedback here.
Happy to hear you enjoyed my drawings. Yeah Aku'mai was really tough, especially the Statue of Azshara. By comparison, the Space Cadet one only took 6 hours, like 5 times less. :D

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Here is a little drawing for my "Artwork in Progress" Comic Strip Series. I use these on other websites to indicate that I am working on something bigger. They are quick to make and fun too.
This one is called Lunch Break. I left the work area in "capable" hands... I thought. I have no idea how he even got up there!
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
This is a very special birthday comic I whipped up for a very creative person.
Gambargin draws historically accurate arms and armor and battle scenes.
Here is a link to the Facebook page if anyone is interested: https://www.facebook.com/gambargin
Context for the joke: Gambargin doesn't like to draw plate armor.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
I've been sick for about 2 weeks, so I thought, why not make a comic out of it.
Going to my local doctor is pretty much like how you see it here. I try to avoid it if I can.
Anyways, I'm getting better now. Hope you all enjoy this.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
I had a light dream and saw this image. So I blinged it up and here we are.
These 'Succubae' tempt you with anything nowadays. I'm a sucker for Neon Lights.
Remember: "Don't touch, what you can't afford."
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
I think you made A LOT of improvement from 2023 to now in 2024. Very well done. :)

Thank you! I have even improved more but since I don't get much feedback here, I decided to not post the non-wow drawings here. If you want to see them, you can check out my facebook page here:
