Goblin Hunter quest Taming The Beast Problem

I am trying out a Goblin hunter and just hit level 10 so naturally you get the ability to train beasts now. I got through the first two beasts without difficulty. The third beast is the swooper is constantly knocking me down in the middle of the cast. I have tried waiting till I was knocked down to tame but always get knocked down before I can finish the cast. Is there something I am missing here or is this bugged. I did try to search if other players encountered this issue but have not found anything. Goblin hunters out there any advice or tips you have on completing this quest would be great.

I have found a solution. Nothing too complicated. I gained a few levels, found a swooper at the lowest level possible and made sure to have aspect of the monkey on for the extra dodge chance and it worked.
