Melee warlock
Melee warlock
Hello everyone
Is there any way to play as melee warlock? I know about firestone and it would be cool if it was good as normal dps warlock

Re: Melee warlock
It would be pretty sick to have a hexblade warlock spec that could proc insta shadowbolts with melee attacks and whatnot. Probably not happening though. :/
Re: Melee warlock
I think the firestone was intended as a 'finisher'. Like if a Lock (uses any pet other than voiwalker) takes aggro from a mob. The mob will get in locks face at which point lock finishes it off with firestoned melee attacks + DOT damage.
Wanding is better but if you want to meme with firestone i suppose its an lulzy option.

Re: Melee warlock
I forget what level firestone was, but I kinda wanna try using it when I get it just for the meme on my lock.

Anbone 29 Shadow Priest (Planned secondary main)
Hardly touching the game any more, unfortunately. Not sure why exactly, but WoW's just not scratchin' that itch. Heck, not really any game does now

Re: Melee warlock
Firestone was not a "finisher." The developers wanted to make a replacement for the magic wand, but for close combat. And something didn’t work out for them. Here's a video to prove it:
I tried different builds and weapons for the melee warlock. The damage is comparable to a wand at the initial levels. Then there are a lot of misses and glancing blows.
In any case, Shadow Oil's trigger rate and damage are better than Firestone's. I would also like to play as a melee warlock, at least while leveling up. For example, if the damage and procs of Firestone would be like Shadow Oil or the chance to hit like wands.
I don't understand melee warlock opponents. This will be just an alternative to wand. A wand is often used when leveling. So why not give warlocks an alternative in the form of a sword or dagger? There will be more variety.

Re: Melee warlock
A melee Warlock would more than likely be my new favorite class. Seems like a perfectly viable concept. I'd imagine it could be something like Turtle Wow's version of a Demon Hunter.
Re: Melee warlock
Kinda got distracted from my lock, and I'm now playing a shadow priest. Hopefully I'll pick the lock back up soon though. Can't wait to try this.
