Spell animations won't go away

I've noticed recently that some spell animations stay even after their effects end (like frost nova, hurricane, tranquility, poison clouds...). Some people seem to have this issue, some not. I've tried using the client without any addons, no extra .mpq's and clearing WDB folders. Any idea why this happens?

Be sure to see if your v-card drivers are updated.

Have you tried a clean client with non addons and WDB folder empty?

I think it's cause you have that mod that replaces models and textures with ones from more recent versions of WoW. If you use the default 1.16 client, this would not be a problem.

People have already tested that and proven that to not affect this issue. Please do not spread misinformation if you have not fully researched the issue.

I thought that was the problem with the HD patch and people reported it, I haven't followed up on that thread, because the HD patch does not interest me, I just skimmed across the discussion to see what people are saying here and there.

Edit: not happening anymore, maybe yesterday's windows update fixes my v card issue? anyways, thanks for the help

Did anyone found a fix for this? I even deleted the game and installed a new one but nothing... even without addons

Update your graphics card drivers.

Just installed the latest nvidia drivers (536.99), but that didn't help.
