Ganked in city - not PVP

Hi,

I was ganked in Stormwind and I am not set for PVP as far as I could tell. How could that happen?
I plan on playing solely as PVE and it is concerning that I can be killed this way. Is this a bug?

Did you buff anybody? Do any quests that flag you for pvp?

There are numerous ways this can happen.

Buffing with either spell, scroll, or anything else / healing / bandaging / etc. PvP flagged players will also make you flagged. Almost any way you assist a flagged (green name) player will make you flagged

Green nametag = Flagged
Blue nametag = not flagged

If your nametag was green prior to the ganking, then this is just the game working how it's supposed to. Hopefully I could be of some help.
