Historical auction house selling volume

Hey everyone, I'm curious if there are any tools in place currently to get data on how many specific items sell on the auction house over time? I'm considering doing an analysis of this for 2 different statistical university projects and this sort of data would really elevate it to the next level.

I completely understand if this is something that the staff doesn't want to be explicitly publicly available but any sort of help on the matter would be greatly appreciated, or if any anything else on the server with this level of detailed data exists that would be an interesting thing to analyse.

I also welcome any inputs or ideas anyone might have for this project of mine. Main goal is to look at reagent prices and compare to crafted items, how difficult those recepies are to acquire and see what sort of conclusions I can draw. Fluxuations in the market and how prices depends on eachother aswell as on outside variables like patch releases and server population is also of great interest.
