Server crash 18 April 2023

Did anyone else just get punted? My HC friend was in the middle of fighting when the server crashed. This is bad news bears.

Just spent $40 on this server, and if this is how my character dies with no action from the devs, I'll have to hang it up for sure.

Pretty sure they do a small rollback if it crashes, keeps HC players from dying due to that.

Yeah I Hope so because I don't mind start again and again if I die normally but not the case if is a crash xD I was having a blast btw so cool...

I understand it's an online game. However, server instability is not the players fault, and if the primary playstyle on the server is hardcore, I feel it's the developers responsibility both to their players, and financially, to ensure that server shutdowns like this necessitate rollbacks for the potential thousands of deaths and countless hours invested by their playerbase.

Blizzard has never been able to shut even one server outside of the US down ever, and it's not likely to ever happen. American copyright law simply isn't respected in the vast majority of the world

Sorry to disappoint you, but Hardcore is in fact Not the primary playstyle of Turtle WoW.

Nah, Microsoft is more likely to try and play shenanigans as they are soon to acquire blizzard and they are very anti-competitive

Hardcore players: When the server crashes (as all servers do from time to time) AND your character is in a MOB the server will roll back the playtime approx 3 minutes. SO, this means your character will be further back from where you left them. IF you just hearthed when the server crashed you will be back in the zone before you hearthed.

If you are concerned about spawning in mobs. Take one of your high levels out to completely clear the area before spawning in again. If you do not have a high level and think your character might be in danger. Log on another character and ask for help in the HC guild to clear the area.

If you cant do any of the above be prepared to fight the second you respawn.. but know this, your character takes about 20-30 sec to load in and if you are in the middle of mobs on load in, don't be surprised when you load into a ghost.
