Cut Content?

Long-time players said we used to be able to go to Ghostlands as part of high elf questline? Now it is removed.
Can any veterans highlight more details about Ghostland cut content and why it was removed?

The Ghostlands were not a Vanilla thing. They were implemented with The Burning Crusade, the 1st expansion. TurtleWow is Vanilla+ and as far as I am aware doesn't implement TBC content at this point.

Unless you mean the Ghostlands were implemented in TurtleWow, in which case I have no idea, only recently picked it up.

I have heard turtle devs have backported Ghostlands for a questline that is no longer here.
This is confirmed by some veterans from my guild.
Though I still don't know why both questline and the zone itself was removed.
