The hardcore mode is a great addition to this game however, as a casual player I'd like to implement something of my own outside of the hardcore mode.
I'd like to know if this is possible through addon code or somehow manually by keeping track myself.
1) Death = 10% loss of xp
2) Mark where xp now is with loss, turn xp gain off.
2) Keep track until threshold is reached, turn xp gain back on.
I thought I could just do this manually however, when you turn XP off the xp is no longer listed in the console. Is there anyway something like this could be achieved? I love the added danger of hardcore but, losing a character is just too much of a time sink for me at this point.
Has anyone implemented their own versions of consequence? I thought about maybe just not playing for a given amount of time after a death? Must be left as a ghost for a day or something like that.

Re: Death Alternate
Slow and Steady mode gives you a 5% experience loss on death.
Re: Death Alternate
The main appeal of HC on Turtle is the players who play it. They are much more helpful and organized than the normal players. The social aspect is much better. If you lock yourself out of HC by not taking the HC challenge what u are losing is access to that community.Mamofish wrote: ↑Sat Feb 04, 2023 6:07 amThe hardcore mode is a great addition to this game however, as a casual player I'd like to implement something of my own outside of the hardcore mode.

Even if you dont do DC, slow and steady ensures that you experience many more quests than what you would normally do, especially in the 40-60 range.
