3D Altered/edited Player Characters? WoW 1.12/1.16

I'm a 3D artist and know my way around blender well.
I've been going over many tutorials and guides on various forums over the last couple of days some 15 years old, with a ever growing folder of various tools such as, extractors, m2 combiners and splitters, blender versions, the "Amaroth Tools", .m2 github blender addons and other wellwishers without luck.
I'm right back where I started.

Extracting the .m2 model and getting it into blender is a road but I figured that out, the issue is getting it back and working.
Kazgrim's guide on this very forum seem to support everything else than playable characters.

Is there really no way to "enhance" certain features on an player model?
For example sake, enlarge the bust of an Night elf Female?

For clearity sake, I do not want to add or remove to the poly count, change uv maps or change animations.

Any links to still working guides, missing tools I might need would be greatly appreciated.
If I get it working, I promise I will make a tutorial for those who would like to do the same.

Was able to solve it thanks to m2mod3, the issue now is animations.
