shadowguard spell(troll priest) and lightning shield still bugged after 4 months

there are still bugs to the Shadowguard spell (as well as shaman's Lightning shield). Ranged(bow/wand/etc) and spell attacks does not trigger The Shadowguard while the priest is under any shielding effect. However, the melee attack will trigger the Shadowguard correctly under shielding effect.
this inconsistent behavior, effected in PVP(against human/paladin/mage/warlock/warrior/rogue/etc all has some sort of ranged /spell attack). as well as PVE (leveling or against boss/mobs that do AOE/range damage). please fix this old issue quickly

Any shield effect(spell/item such as [Uther's Strength] /[Jang'thraze the Protector]/power word: shield) will prevent Shadowguard and lightning shield from getting triggered, when incoming damage type is ranged and spell damage

Any follow-up? Fixing this bug is quite important as it is the core mechanic of both shaman/priest
