Merc for hire? Or no faction loyalty?

Does every human really have to be an Alliance Patriot? There should be more mechanics for players who don't necessarily feel a strong loyalty to the Horde and Alliance. What if I just want to be a Bloodsail Buccaneers outlaw and ditch the Alliance? Or just a plain ol' mercenary for hire, loyal to no faction. Or what if a Goblin is having disputes with the Labor Union and ditches them for the Steamwheedle Cartel?
