Migration through servers and PvP situation
Is there any inconvenience to have migrations between servers active?
Lots of new players, even experienced ones, change their mind about where to play. It'd be healthy for Tel'Abim to receive some players from the pve server. Being honest, there could be some kind of reward if some players or guilds contribute to improve the PvP server population. I'm sure there are enough players to play in both of them.
PvP also grants emotion, is part of the charm that supposed hanging around in the open world. We are removing that sensations from classic wow. Those big parties fighting anywhere, assaulting a city... Bgs and arenas are tons of fun too. I'm dueling the few people I can in the open world, and there are many skilled players who would be pleased if we had ranked arenas and more people to play Bgs, for sure.
I'm aware the developing team is focused on PvE content, which is fantastic, we have to congratulate them for that, we enjoy a lot. We just ask for little PvP attention, I think this server is missing many players, not only from Nordanaar, even from other classic servers out there plenty of players who like both PvP and PvE.
To be honest, me and my friends chose to play in Nordanaar, and actually we love to PvP, more now you implemented improvements and fresh changes to many classes. We would love to be able to migrate to the PvP server, and it'd be awesome if players in it had more attention. The server only needs population and 3 or 4 features for PvP to be engaging:
-Ranked arena system (doesn't matter if it's balanced or not in the beggining, for real).
-Maybe one or two more scenarios to play those arenas.
-In the future a PvP area (putting 2 or 3 spots to protect in an open world area would be enough to begin).
- Attractive and specific PvP gear and rewards.
These are only some suggestions I make.
Thanks Turtle WoW for everything you brought, will it be so difficult to help us with this?
I'd love community participation in this thread, thanks for your time.

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
We are parents, we have work and other occupations, it is so hard to level up another character. I guess we are not the only ones since WoW classic is a pretty "vintage" game.
My suggestions pretend to revitalize PvP, and the PvP server, not only my own situation, which is insignificant for others I guess. So rerolling would not help much.
Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
Hello!
I've been playing on a pvp server for only a couple of weeks, I'm level 30. I queue for pvp battlegrounds every game session, but I haven't gotten in yet.
Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong or is it because players of my level aren't recruited for these activities?
Same thing for dungeons, I queue but can't find groups.

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
So, glad I stopped playing that server and joined a server that actually as life to it...I found more people pvp flagged in WESTFALL in multiple spots than on the pvp server, I didn't find a single soul on the entire map of WESTFALL. It would be awesome to have a migration to provide aid to the dead server and Make PVP Great Again!Appofeoz wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 2:05 pm Hello!

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
A one-time migration option, even limited, would help breathe life into Tel'Abim without hurting Nordanaar. Maybe even link BG queues between both servers as a start?

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
Some more love to the pvp community would be amazing! I for one cannot think of anything more awesome that if the Blood Ring got a little more structured, eventually with a ranking system.
Also cross server BGs could be a huge improvement for the all the BG queues and would help develop new exciting metas.
The pvp sets definitely needs a big rework anytime soon, as especially the caster sets are hilariously bad on many of the classes. Not to mention the rank14 caster weapons which are baseline useless and replaced by staff from aq20 or similar.
Much love! A fellow pvper

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
Ranking would need preceding changes to prevent it from being oppressed by the ongoing imbalance on the PvP side of things -- with CC2, new gear and changes to what's old, together with some questionable features or missing limitations within the Blood Ring, it's a mess.
Cross-Realm BGs would be a bad idea, for multiple reasons.
Fully agreed on the PvP EQ (many have already complained about this), especially with Kara40 on its way. R14 is even less rewarding here due to the PvE power creep; better to just do PvE so you can do PvP -- something present in Vanilla, yes, but, there's even more appeal to that here.

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
the problem of TA is that was opened because the sky screamers of nordanaar in forum were listened by devs and these ppl soon left as soon as SOD released, dooming server to nothingness.
TA should have never been opened in the first place.

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
You are a parent who try to put excuses upfront. The game doesn't go away. TWoW doesn't take super long to level up. You can't force PvP on a server that's fully intended to support RP. In fact, Telabim should have been RP-PvP, not just PvP.Greentoken wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 1:18 pmWe are parents, we have work and other occupations, it is so hard to level up another character. Choices are made people who actually enjoy pvp did the move. Battlegroup could help with BG maybe. But aside of that, it's a server that's set under a vanilla timeline (even with the extra around of it.) It's not a race to get level 60.

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
I tried to like Nordanaar, I really did
Got several 60 there. But man, PVE server are just so fucking bad for anyone interested in pvp
I am really happy TA opened and I hope it keeps growing

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
Nord suck, warmode players just turn it off at 60 so no wpvp. TA is the future so i doubt they would ever allow this.

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
You rolled on the PvE server.
The PvP server is for world PvP.
The PvE server is for PvE content and structured PvP, including battlegrounds.
This seems to confuse many players, but if you're looking for structured PvP content there has never been, in WoW's 20+ year history, any reason to choose a PvP server rather than a PvE server. If you want world PvP, there was literally no reason to roll on the PvE server. This is not a new development.
There are many reasons not to include server transfers, some of which include deliberately gaming the PvP system and challenges and the faction exclusive gear that is technically available to both factions on on Nordanaar since cross faction race changes are allowed. So it doesn't seem there is any reason to allow transfers since, and I don't mean this to be callous, this and similar cases are due to preventable user error.
Edit: Also, you want to transfer and even ask for a reward for transferring? The entitlement is astonishing. Playing and leveling on the PvP server is part of the challenge. There would be literally no reason to reward you. Only a reason to penalize you for playing wht is effectively an easier mode (PvE) and then wanting to reap the rewards of PvP. The population of the PvP server is healthy.

Re: Migration through servers and PvP situation
The dungeon issue on Tel'abim is a bit distinct, though not completely, from apparent lack of battlegrounds.Appofeoz wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 2:05 pm Hello!

The double experience rates on Tel'Abim, which are effectively quadruple experience rates with tents, make it inefficient to level by dungeoning. Even if you get more experience while inside the actual dungeon, the waiting time and traveling time make it far more efficient to level by simply grinding - that 4x experience rate is pretty nuts.
While people reach 60 sooner, the boosted experience rate effectively kills world pvp since people can reach max level even casually with relatively few hours of play time. And if people are in a rush to reach 60, there is no reason to queue for battlegrounds since that will only slow them down. There are some dungeon groups, but again, doing dungeons also only serves to slow down reaching 60.
