Hello, today my phone broke when I was out cycling, and unfortunately it was beyond saving, so I bought a new one. The account is bound to the old 2FA authenticator on my old phone, is there a way to remove it so I can use my new phone instead?
Thanks.

If you login to google playstore/app store with the same account and redownload Google Authenticator your turtle wow key should still be there.
Otherwise if you are still logged in thru the website you can remove 2fa from your account settings

That's not how Google Authenticator works, it doesn't show me any of my previous applications at all. To disable 2FA... you guessed it... I need to enter my 2FA code.Winckler91 wrote: Sun Jul 06, 2025 10:14 am If you login to google playstore/app store with the same account and redownload Google Authenticator your turtle wow key should still be there.

Re: Phone bricked, can't remove 2FA
I had your exact same problem, my old phones screen got broken and I used a older phone while it was in service, on my older phone I logged into my google account went to playstore installed authenticator and my 2fa codes where there (I use it for more sites not only for turle)..now I have fixed my phone and I have the app on both phones and it works on both of them...So I think that's how it works really..

And that's why I don't use 2FA. I prefer the option to require to either send a code on e-mail or on SMS like Epic Games Store does. And that's only if it's required, otherwise I just use a password and I've never been hacked. That can only happen if someone is using the same e-mail and password to register everywhere and downloads something suspicious and runs it and it turns out to be a virus. Back when I was using Windows, I did that stupid thing to run some "keygen" and had my Steam account stolen, but acted quick and got it back and since then I've been very careful, but 2FA in my opinion is redundant.Ellifta wrote: Sun Jul 06, 2025 11:09 amThat's not how Google Authenticator works, it doesn't show me any of my previous applications at all.
