Eredar for the Horde

There's been a lot of talk about what new race to include in the Horde. Basically, the Alliance is already the dream Alliance we never had at retail.

But the Horde, honestly, still has a lot to offer in terms of races, so many that I don't even think there are enough options in the Alliance to create an equivalent.

But many have said Ogres, the vast majority, although we all know the big problem is that a proper female model has never been seen.

But we have the infamous Draenei, included in The Retcon Crusade. They're a race of muscular, sexy space goats who came from outer space and joined the Alliance, their main meeting place being the Lion's Pride Inn in Goldshire for their not-at-all-weird business.

Well, the goal is, the Eredar, the evil and red Sorcerers of the Burning Legion, several have seen Sargeras' Crusade fail many times in trying to invade a simple planet and have decided to desert, trying to hide from their former slavers, have arrived on Azeroth, the Alliance has clearly rejected them for their corrupt and demonic past, but in the Horde they have found a race with a similar past, the Orcs have understood them and have decided to welcome them and all others who decide to desert the Legion in order to fight in the name of the Horde against everything that threatens their new refuge, Azeroth, while fighting against that faction that refuses to accept them, the Kaldorei being their main enemies and opponents, considering them a very serious threat and a new reason why the Horde increasingly becomes a very big threat to the Alliance and the planet in general.

I think that since we have the opposite of the Blood Elves, the High Elves (yes, I know the lore and everything there is with the Elves, they are my favorite race but you understand what I mean by "opposites"), we could have, now yes, the evil and corrupt but repentant version of the Draenei, the Eredar for the Horde, and create a symbolism that Turtle is the opposite of what was done in TBC.

In the lore, they are full-fledged demons, fully committed to the deeds of the Burning Legion and often used as officers by Sargeras.

From what I’ve understood, the lore of Turtle WoW is mostly a continuation and expansion of the Warcraft III and Vanilla universe, while drawing some solid inspiration from BC and WotLK. That’s what made me come here.

Turning them into “repentant” demons would require a complete narrative overhaul — Retail-level destructive. I would honestly stop playing if it ever came to that.

I’m here for a true Scourge and Burning Legion threat: dangerous, uncompromising. I have no interest in seeing another forced redemption arc trying to sanitize the original canon.

In term of dislike, I would prefer a stupid useless Gnoll or Murloc in the Horde than a damn seid of Sargeras.

When you said retcon crusade you made my day and for that reason I'll be good with you.

If the horde gets any eredar, they won't be the "retcon crusade" version of them. It'll be the classic version, I mean the broken, those exiles who were mutated as a war crime by the orcs. That's the more appropriate race if we just hand tight to the canon. The Horde is not about beauty, and sexyness, curves, it's about muscles endurance, survival, resistance and strength of will. The "Dreanei" don't belong to the horde and if you ask me they were invented for only to sell tbc to the alliance players.

I doubt that the Horde can tolerate demons (especially as corrupted as eredar are), aside from Varimathras being right hand of Sylvanas. Eredar arent some lesser demons like sayaad or satyrs, they are one of the main demonic races of the Burning Legion. Will you really believe they can abandon their destructive ways and work for a greater good?

Besides, even if some eredar gone rogue, they are too ambitious to serve the mortal warchief in the tiny mortal world. They'd rather try to build their own faction somewhere in the Great Dark Beyond.

It's bad enough already that the Night Elves and the Forsaken are in the Alliance and the Horde respectively. The last thing we need is Illidan's allies in the Horde too.

TurtleWoW does a good job of avoiding retail's mistaken. It should avoid making new ones.

Bring Ogres. Males only. Big deal that there are no female versions. Instead of Male and Female, the choice can be 1 or 2 heads

In any case, I'm fine with the current race selection. Retail is absolutely bloated rn

If OP were a true Horde fanatic, He'd ask for Ogres, not Eredar.
