Change to PvP Queue
Change to PvP Queue
Greetings!
The proposal is to make the PvP queue teleport you to the PvP NPC of your race (not faction) city. If you're a dwarf it will take you to ironforge military ward, and so on... the purpose of this is to put PvP and PvE in the same position of enjoyment and it has many benefits:
1 make faction cities have a reason to go there, increasing population and circulation of players on them.
2 make military npcs and quarters the purpose they were ment for, because this is an interesting part of the content.
3 make players actually understand from where the pvp begins and how it must be engaged to assist fights.
4 make the oportunity to enhance this zones of the cities allowing for further development.
5 make possible the interaction between players for pvp purposes before battles.
Considerations:
1 this teleports occurs only when the automatic queue has been asigned and executed.
2 the players don't need to speak with the npcs (because they might not even know what they're for in the first place or who is the right npc) but it will teleport you anyway to the battlefield 30s to 1 minute later after being teleported, even if you get out from the quarters.
3 players do can speak with the npcs to enter to the battleground faster as if they had to wait for the timer.
4 after getting out from the battleground, you won't be teleported to the city but to the other place you were in the world, this to avoid people queuing to get free hearthstones and then leaving the battleground out of malice.
Thoughts:
1 there has to be a development on this quarters to add some interesting or necessary content to revitalize their purpose.
2 player who directly speak to the correct npc of their battleground may receive a buff for certain amount of increased defenses that endures just for the first defeat in the battleground, and for blood ring it could be a damage buff or increased resistance to abilities of control.
Rewards for the update:
1 Winner players of the battleground may be rewarded extra with the option to end up in the military quarters instead of going back to the position they were in the world. Because they won the battleground and they might have enough points already to spend (or not) but it sounds like a good reason to apply for pvp even if the only thing you want is a free heartstone.
Remembering we're talking to racial capitals, not stormwind orgrimmar for all races. That would be too much of a reward, and we're scratching for ways to make racial capitals important.
Final comments:
After delivering multiple feedback to the turtles, I found this as emergency development not fancy and satisfaction.

That' why we used the word "choose" as a reward.amanagor wrote: Fri Jul 04, 2025 10:39 am wjat about people that want to world pvp during the q? being teleported back to a city seems very annoying.

Re: Change to PvP Queue
So when exactly does the teleport occur? When you queue up, or when you actually get a BG pop? What would be the point then? Because if you queue for a BG, you should be getting ported there and not your capital city.
Elmhoof - 60 Boomkin
Tacheka - 41 Melee hunter (Planned secondary main)
Anbone - 36 Shadow Priest (Idk what I'm doing with him)
The laser chicken called to me. And so I answered.

Step one > you queueBigsmerf wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 5:04 am So when exactly does the teleport occur? When you queue up, or when you actually get a BG pop? What would be the point then? Because if you queue for a BG, you should be getting ported there and not your capital city.
Step two > the list is looking for matches
*Step three > match is arranged, you've been ask to accept. In this point you get teleport to the military quarters of your race in your city
*Step four > the match starts in 30s to 60s, you choose to enter fast and get buff or wander in the area the time remaining
Step five > you fight
*Step six > you lose, you get back to where you were at the start, or if you win you get an option aside from "leave battleground" in the results window, then you can choose to teleport the military quarter of your city instead of going back to the open world
Edit: I know what you're probably gonna say: 30s is a waste of time. But pvp isn't just a random thing, true random is missions and exploration and gathering. In PvE you have to move to the entrance of the dungeon. But the PvP system remained as blank and tasteless as it was in retail. You add 30s of content to give PvP matching it's own personality. Seems a lot but with mere little bit of effort into the military quarters you may get a renewed experience. This time you can chitchat very quickly, re watch some npc rewards, there can be something else to pay attention to. OR you can choose to skip that waste of time by talking to the npc to get in asap. IT'S CONTENT to be a new player and say what do I do now? Who should I talk to in order to get in and stop wasting time, and for the lucky you, there's actually other guys in there about to get matched for PvP and they answer to your questions.
You guys says classic is about social interactions right?
Retail never understood PvP as it's community does, give it some justice and be assertive this time. Ignore the people who denies everything so they never see turtle become that good.

Re: Change to PvP Queue
You can have that in the bg before a match starts all the same though, no? I see no legitimate reason for any of this besides maybe, like you said, looking at the various rewards you can get. But you can still do that in your own time or look it up. You can still ask questions before matches start and outside of PvP while you're going about questing, dungeoning, levelling, professions, etc.Cosmico wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 9:17 amYou guys says classic is about social interactions right?Bigsmerf wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 5:04 am So when exactly does the teleport occur? This doesn't fix any problems that might exist with PvP. It doesn't add chances to be social just because everyone's forced into a room with each other, either. I see no point. Every positive here isn't a positive because the things you try to use as talking points are easily accessible from anywhere. Ask in world chat, google it, poke at some guildies or friends in discord. Just walk up to the PvP vendors in your own time. So on and so forth. It's extra fluff and wait time at best in an attempt to add something just for the novelty of change. There is no benefit. We HAVE our isolated waiting room for PvP. Why the hell does there need to be another one?
Yes. In this context, it kinda is.
Edit: Forgot to mention the speaking to the NPC part in my small rant so let's address that rq as well.
You contradict yourself with this addition. Players are just going to swarm that NPC to get out of the waiting room and enter a new one, skipping all the "content" there would've been to experience anyways.

A true PvP lover would at least considered the idea. Don't engage in adding content to protect what you like the most.Bigsmerf wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 10:02 amYou can have that in the bg before a match starts all the same though, no? Walking/Flying for 10 minutes to reach the entrance of a dungeon IS waste of time. I can't take you seriously.Bigsmerf wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 10:02 amYes. In this context, it kinda is.

I am in no contradictions and is rude and a disrespect you affirm that's the case. Due to this I won't respond non other of your further comments. For now let me finish with this: that's the point, that you get the option to do something, instead of being forced to do nothing. If can't see the beauty in that maybe there's other threads who might suit you better.
