Cooking Profession - More Drinks

Having reached 300 in cooking, I was saddened to see there was not much left available for custom Turtle Wow cooking content.

Something that was briefly touched in Classic Cooking was the inclusion of dinks I’m cooking recipes. We see these in Captain Rumsy’s Lager, Thistle Tea, Hot Apple Coder, Egg Nogg, and Goldthorn Tea. While most of these are alcoholic in nature - Thistle Tea provides an energy boost and Goldthorn Tea provides an alternative to vendor or mage water as a mana replenishing drink.

I would personally like to see more drinks added to the cooking section, which would create more of a demand for herbs than just Alchemy on the auction house market. They could both provide extra mana, and potentially buffs which would be beneficial to mana users. This would encourage more to focus on the cooking skill at large.

Love the idea! Maybe cooking drinks could have a faster mana regeneration rate, but as big portions as mage water. To keep them competetive with the ingredient costs.

Means less bugging mages too

It would be nice to be able to cook level 55 hp food along with level 55 mana food. They can make it part of the survival gardening process or make it available through recipes via world drops. Either way it would help the downtime when grinding mats.

I agree with adding in level 55 food and water with unique effects; it was always weird that fishing was one of the main ways to get mana-regen food when we should have resource-regen drinks as well (not just energy but one for rage and mana).

That would really help make more farming goods gold farming viable (currently price of creation and selling are not a good margin unless done large scale). The more you can make with these items, the more people will interact with this fun turtle wow feature.

Good and drink buffs could stack (like the buff foods from Fire Festival or Winters Veil do). You could have a food, and a drink buff which gives options too for budget raiders.

Mages - "we miss vanilla when we were useful and could provide useful food/drink for others"
Vanilla Mages - *completely ignoring any lowbies asking for water, mostly ignoring people who ask for oranges or portals, always afking in cities but not responding to people who need stuff, refuse to offer or provide drinks in dungeons even when asked repeatedly*

That would be an awesome buff to have for raiders too, and encourage outside the box thinking for what buffs could be with the ever expanding Turte Wow raiding system!

I would love to see some better options for cooking at higher levels. It could be linked to fishing, gardening or higher level drops but there definitely seems to be a gap at higher levels.

I just found the three Turtle recopies in Tel'Abin! Are there others that I did not know about? Sad to see that as a healer, all three of these really dont help me.

I know I'm late to the party but it's cool to see this get revived as it deserves to be.

It always kinda sucked to me that there was a lack of variety in food from a mechanical standpoint. Up until the higher levels the only thing you really get from food always tended to be stam and spirit with a few exceptions. Maybe we could have drinks that have an HP5 or MP5 effect as an alternative? I'd like to see more than that added of course but it's a decent start and could give drinks their 'niche' so to say.
