Tmog - The ultimate dressing room for Turtle WoW

Post by Spitfire33 » Fri Jan 24, 2025 5:03 pm

Have you ever stared a a piece of gear, trying to rememebr if you have it in your collection or not? Do you wish to be able to see all items in the game and plan your future look? Tmog is what you need! With this addon item tooltips will show you if it's in your collection or not, you will be able to try on all items in game and make outfits!
Download it from GitHub: https://github.com/Otari98/Tmog

Important!
If this is first time using addon you will need to cache your existing transmog collection, for that go to fashionista in Stormwind or Orgrimmar, click on every item slot, you need to do this for all weapon types that you have (swords/axes/maces, polearms, staves, daggers, shields, off-hand holdables, wands, crossbows, bows, guns)
For example if you have transmogs for daggers and polearms, you need to equip any dagger, go to transmog npc and click on dagger, then equip any polearm, talk to npc again, click on polearm. Repeat for other weapon types that you have. For armor slots clicking once should be enough.

It's great. You should consider making the collection status text a different color, based on said status.
I'll open up a pull request later.

How does one reset the addon per character?

I dont see any files in SavedVariables in WTF or the character specific.

Died on a HC toon and recreated it with the same name.

Because of the same name, the addon is showing it as having all its former items available.

Hence trying to clear it.

Delete Tmog.lua and Tmog.lua.bak located at:
WTF\Account\<your account name>\<server name>\<your character name>\Saved Variables

That was my assumption, but none of my folders have those lua files....

Edit: Nvm, finally found em. Didnt spot the Nordanaar folder and was going into the TurtleWoW one.

Have you guys seen the new Scarlet phase sets, weapons and mounts from SoD?

If those assets could be imported to TWOW somehow that'd be great!

Love the addon; however, I've been having a strange issue with it since the 3.2 update. I've followed the instructions on the Github page to cache my transmogs. I have two accounts, one works as intended but the other account's characters doesn't or can't seem to remember items that I have already equipped. When I put on a completely new item, the dialogue "<item> has been added to your collection" does appear in the chat window and I get the popup indicating that the item was added to my transmog collection, but the addon still says "Not Collected" on my character page. The Tmog window itself actually shows nothing if "Collected" is the only option is checked too.

I've tried reinstalling the addon, disabling every other addon then running it through TWoW client / Vanillafixes / WoW.exe, and deleting the lua and lua.bak in the affected characters' folders but the issue persists on that one account.

3.3 seems to have fixed the issue on the second account. Thank you!
