Cysthetic's Lunatic Paladin Guide

Post by Cysthen » Wed Mar 12, 2025 1:29 am

Welcome to my
⁺ . ✦ Lunatic Paladin Guide ✦ . ⁺
Where you learn that Rogue may perhaps not be the only good class in this Bracket.

Lets get things started.

Before you read anything else you need the following Addon.

ItemRack
https://turtle-wow.fandom.com/wiki/ItemRack

Quickheal
https://github.com/Zebouski/QuickHeal

Note: In regards to Quickheal I am aware many people dislike automation addons. The reason for its inclusion is our Heal is tied to a Weapon Swap Macro. I typically use an Alt Selfcast Addon but it doesn't work with macro'd Heals. This is the best way I have found for now, I'll update it with a change in the future if I can find out other methods.

Spells

Devotion Aura
Gives 55 additional armor to party members. 30 Yard Range.
Note: Armor Scaling is very good at Level 1.

Seal of Righteousness
20 Mana
Hits for 1-2 with a 1H Equipped and 3-4 with a 2H Equipped.
Recommend putting Fiery on a Mutton Chop and making an ItemRack load out called (FIRE) to equip it.

These are the following Macros I use:
/script EquipSet("FIRE")
/cast Seal of Righteousness(Rank 1)

/script EquipSet("FIRE")
(Sometimes it's not worth the Mana to Cast Seal).

Holy Light
35 Mana
This Heals for 39-48 with a 2.5 Second Cast. 40 Yard Range.
This has 70% Scaling with +Healing.
Recommend putting +55 Healing on a Mutton Chop and making an ItemRack load out called (HEALS) to equip it.

These are the following Macros I use:
The Importance of these Macros is to Swap from Fiery to Healing without the Global in Combat and Heal Instantly.

With Target:
/script EquipSet("HEALS")
/cast Holy Light(Rank 1)

Targeting Self:
/target character name
/script EquipSet("HEALS")
/cast Holy Light(Rank 1)

Target Lowest Health Target:
/script EquipSet("HEALS")
/quickheal

MATH
Holy Light +55 Healing Weapon: 78-88.
Holy Light +55 Healing Weapon, +30 Healing Gloves: 99-108.
Holy Light +55 Healing Weapon, +30 Healing Gloves, +24 Healing Bracers: 115-124.
Holy Light +55 Healing Weapon, +30 Healing Gloves, +24 Healing Bracers, +31 Healing Shoulders: 137-146.

Ending Comments:
This effectively can not be killed by any other Level 1 Lunatic no matter what gear they have if played well.

I also believe it is a very strong bait character, in Durotar if people see you healing many will jump in to help kill you but they most likely won't be able to as you have other means at your disposal like Minor Healing Potions as well.

Half-Eaten Mutton Chop doesn't have an Enchant glow so you look weaker than you are.

Looking foward to Battlegrounds and Blood Ring. See you all in-game, Enjoy!

Weak Troll's Blood Potion also doesn't have level requirements. Its 2hp/5sec, but why not?
Also, you can level bunch of buffing characters of different classes: mage, priest and druid. If you just hang in open world, you can park them where you usually gank people. On Nordnaar, they might be of different faction to simplify travelling.
Any rank of MotW scales down to rank 2 (65 armor +2 to stats). Any rank of Thorns scales down to rank 1 (+3 reflected damage). Same would be for other classes buffs.

I also tested Gift of the wild, it says "target is too low level" if you target lunatic and don't buff him if you target self.

BTW, why don't you mention worldbuffs? I know that if you stuck endlessly in enemy starting location, it is hard to keep them up, but they might be useful for battlegrounds.
Also, if you not autistic as me, you might organize lvl 20 summoning warlock to any location in game.

I checked jewelry enchant. It is Stunning Imperial Gemstone and it requires items of level 25 and above.

You can also enchant main hand with some sharpening stone and oil. I haven't tried it, though. Not sure which is possible here.
Xudo - tauren warrior 19 Sergeant armory.
I don't raid and rank, so you can not bother asking.
Nerf high level enchants on low level gear
Add lvl requirement to bandages
Best and optimal gear for 10-19 twinks
Have fun not only at 60.

I'll add to it some still, Mutton Chop doesn't have a weapon type so I need to test the stones on it and I'll add the Trolls Blood later. The whole Alts thing is cool and all but it seems excessive filler for this and can go in moreso a general guide, I might include what buffs are available though as it could be moreso streamlined but I don't think that's necessary. I'll probably include Worldbuffs forsure though I have an older guide I can literally just copy paste those from with all DMF combinations.

The Rings and Neck Enchant works on these items listed, you're correct the items say that but Lunatics can get these Enchants on these particular items.

As for Enchanting mainhand with Oils, Minor Wizard Oil requires Level 5. And Enchanting through trade even though I'm well aware of it I'm not sure if it is against the rules as I've heard people getting in trouble for Shadow Oil. If this is not the case though I would have included Brilliant Mana Oil but better safe than sorry.

Note: I still also need to test 15 Fire Resist to Cape as it might be more Damage mitigation against other Lunatics with how prominent Fiery Enchant is in this Bracket. Might be worth including.

The whole Lunatic thing is just impressive. This guide also is very helpful indeed, from what I recall on the forums there wasn't even a guide in the first place. I'm disappointed in myself for just recently tossing those half eaten mutton chops didn't know they would have played a part in making a lunatic down the road...I can't even remember where I even got them in the first place. I'm stoned 90% of time...
