Ungoro Park Dungeon

A group of overly greedy Goblins tried to use Dinosaurs and place them in a park in southern Ungoro to make money, and everything went bad before the park ever opened. They now need adventurers to take down the Arcanely enhanced Dinosaurs.

This would be a level 60 Dungeon with 5-6 Bosses, mostly Dinosaurs in destroyed wire cages in the jungle and a small ocean side area for a giant Hydra dinosaur.

I find that Ungoro need some support as it feel mostly empty and forgotten by non Dino skinning hunters. This dungeon could give a good source of leathers and use an often underused mob model of Goblins and Dinosaur. Quest could include retrieving dino eggs from a science area, rescuing little child goblins and starting the Electric fences again.

It's Jurassic Park in WoW which blizz would have absolutely done if anybody on staff besides Metzen had a brain. Lotta room for custom creatures (Dilophosaurus with raptor base etc.) good suggestion.

One thing I'd add: make it more like BM not SWV. BM can be spammed even in raid gear and have some feels good items even when you are full purple.
SWV is okay for some tanks but once people are somewhat purple and they have the whip, SWV basically doesn't exist.

i like the idea of a ungoro dungeon. have a summon-able t-rex boss that will come only if you put down a goat as bait. and maybe a powerful world boss dinosaur could also spawn in ungoro.

Some kind of instanced Un'Goro copy where you can mount should probably be low-ish effort since no new map is needed.

And I'm sure the Devs could tinker with it and make it still be immersive. Just so much opportunity for cool encounters!

This lore background actually isn't against vanilla spirit and makes more sense than any new dungeon in Retail. Love to see it.

I feel like it would be fairly easy to make a corridor dungeon with fences and small ish enclosures for bosses ala ZG.

Make it a 10 or 20 man raid that drops kara level gear and it will be a huge hit

Give me your opinion on the following idea:

The darkmoon faerie has their new attraction in a cavern in Un'Goro.
The entrance is next to "Get rich or die grinding"- Guildhouse in south-east. To enter, you need to do a repeatable quest that requires you to hand in 10x Ticket Prices from DMF and in exchange you get teleported in the dungeon. (Needs a solution for corpse-runs)

I thought of wailing caverns as map but it is really narrow for 10 man, definetly too narrow for 20 man. Or maybe it is an interesting twist not to be able to spread.

Bosses could be ...
... Queen Mosh. Ofc she summons enranged king mosh
... Lar'korwi resurrected

Trash is pretty simple with all the types of dinos
Raptors (also the poison-ones form ungoro)
Pterrodax
Stegodon
Threshadon (sadly not much water in wailing caverns)
Thunderlizards

As loot, i would like to see and devilsaur-set advanced to maybe 6 pieces. Easy to think of things here.

What do you guys think? 10 man Ungoro-WC with dinos? Is just dinos too boring?

Honestly, if TWO does this as the next custom dung, server would become extra popular. This is the best possible dungeon Azeroth could receive.

Un'Goro actually has a lot of potential this way. Hearthstone did an entire expansion around Un'Goro with lots of cool throwbacks but also new stuffs, for example evolving minions (they can become gigantic, stealthy, toxic, etc depending on the situation).

Terrain wise an Un'Goro dungeon offers great set pieces:
  • jungle (obviously)
  • crystal caverns
  • tar pits
  • active volcano
  • swamplands
  • steep mountain rises
  • silithid hives
  • hot springs
There's lots of space in the south of the zone to simply add a new area too.

+1 from me. Devs please consider this.
What are we thinking challenge wise? Lvl 60 dungeon somewhere between Dire Maul and Black Morass difficulty? Not sure about raid, unless there is good reason why the park dinos should be substantially more powerful than those roaming the wild.

❌ dont like the ungoro centric approach

- i think its not an enlargeable zone, only titan and silithid stories can be extended significantly
- if you want more activity in ungoro, make the farmable stuff there worth farming: the leathers, soil, that titan stone? and gems!!
- oh and maybe add the horde's version of winterspring frostsaber? they lack quest numbers anyway

- they made a "zoo" for visitors and want to do dino breeding, hence some experiments
- in my concept the dungeon starts at thousand needles and situated between feralas and ungoro, giving it a jungle vibe
- the story is definitly around dinos roaming around, it can go two major directions:
1. a sabotage
2. or a breach from ungoro leading to chaos

since this is just pure theoricrafting, i leave the main storyline open
but here is how it would start off:
1. ppl enter the dungeon at a visitor center building
2. across the bridge there's the zoo section, the cages are open, small dinos everywhere
3. first boss is at the chokepoint

Amazing job with the visuals. Really like this alternative option. I guess it opens up possibility to make it lower level dungeon, but could also still be a 60 dungeon.

Logically, makes sense too. Un'Goro Crater is too remote and hazardous to be a good commercial location. Thousand needles has paths and bridges extending from various populated zones including Barrens, Feralas and Tanaris. Additionally, if the park is a goblin-run enterprise, its a logical extension up from the Mirage Raceway in Shimmering Flats, and esp Gatgetzan in Tanaris.

Story-wise I could see a combination of sabotage and breach being plausible and more interesting. In addition to the obvious dino bosses, one of the bosses could be a corrupt goblin business man.

Just saying that Vanilla WoW doesn't do anything with Jastor (Trade Prince) Gallywix (only seeing some references to a Puzik Gallywix from Vanilla).
Breaking down Gallywix' dinosaur-themed money making scheme? Count me in.

Could also do a Titan ruins dungeon like Uldaman where it has been overrun by dinosaurs, something like a Tomb Raider level. You could have the whole scene from Lost Valley with a Devilsaur coming out past the bridge like the T. rex from the game.

There is an existing quest in Thousand Needles called Hypercapacitor Gizmo, which is basicly about a goblin crew transporting a wild animal and got attacked by centaurs, and only he survived. The task is to get the item from an elite panther which still in its cage.

^^this could give a little more vailidity to my proposition
