Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
I despise these custom T-WoW skins that alter Druids appearance
(Note: Blizzard also screwed this up via 'Noggenfogger Elixir Skeleton form (but at least this can be Purged off as its a Magic Effect)
Theres a bunch of them so I don't even know how to list them all.
But for example:
theres one that makes it so you can be in "Cat/Bear/Moonkin Druid Form" but appear as a standard N-Elf humanoid.
theres one that makes it so you can be in "Cat Druid Form" but appear as a rather generic hunter pet-esque Cat NPC
These are deeply frustrating in PVP because (as virtually all common sense game designers understand) -- "silhouettes" are very important in PVP battles -- as they allow for instant understanding of what you are up against.
Allows for quick counter-play and battlefield awareness.
T-WoW PVE RP Costumes have impacted this negatively im afraid.
Kindly disable this corniness in PVP Battlegrounds, please. Thank you. ^__^
Or alter them to make it crystal clear you are fighting a Druid (and not a hunter pet) and what form they are actually within.

Frost Mage is overpowered in PVP/PVE.
Warrior is awful in PVP.
Druid is a bad class. This is intended and wise design.

Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
If we go that route, the same can be said for transmog. Seeikg your oponents gear goes into the exact same direction. Knowing if a shaman or pally wears dps or healing gear is crucial information too

This guy cries at everything. Sounds like he just wants the stock vanilla not classic plus like turtle
There's some big changes coming to the talent trees also, expect big diversions from the stock vanilla talents so buckle your seat belt

Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
I totally agree with OP. As a pvp player myself i find it very frustrating. Also TMOGS are also frustrating in many ways. Also when alliance riding undead horse frustrating too. I think there is something to do with druid forms but what to do with the rest idk. I feel like nobody cares from devs about healthy pvp here.
Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
Imo if you see a druid and you can't tell he's in cat form with the yellow bar then you shouldn't be even pvping.
I do think a few things should be fixed though like being able to be in your caster form in cat / bear. Also the moonkin astral glyph is quite troublesome as you can't really tell its a moonkin. If they added something else to that form like stars or a stronger glow rather than just a transparent look it would be easier to tell.
I don't have a problem with the animal forms though aslong as their animals, it's just the skeleton and humanoid forms for me

Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
Skins, glyphs, mogs and RP are prio'd over pvp. As a former toxic pvper I agree with twows take on this. The game is about having fun and being social. There are other more pvp focused pservers out there.
Changing the way RP stuff functions to satisfy hardcore pvpers will probably (hopefully) never happen. Also, they rely on the donation shop for funding. I highly doubt they would remove them to satisfy the tiniest of a pvp "issue".

I am really glad to read such posts. People seem to forget that Turtle is First and Foremost a RP-PvE-Realm.Drubarrymooer wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2024 9:48 am Skins, glyphs, mogs and RP are prio'd over pvp. Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
I agree with the original suggestion, allowing cosmetics everywhere except at BGs where they are auto-disabled.
You don't go to a BG to RP anyway. This would allow cosmetics at world PVP but honestly Nordanaar world-PVP barely exists.

Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
You can have fun PvPing on other servers whenever you want, Turtle WoW is primarily PvE-RP oriented rather than PvP because if they focused on fixing PvP they would never be done, even Blizzard can't perfectly balance PvP on their own clients.
Glyphs, transmogs, etc. are all RP and PvE oriented stuff, nothing is PvP oriented although 1.17.2 will see some class balancing.
So if they are annoying there's not much you can do, it's part of the server.

Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
This logic never made sense why it was such a huge deal to not be able to see a druids form but zero issue being able to not see a warriors stance from that same person.
Can tell what spec a druid is in just by the forms he is using, other classes, not so much but that isn't considered an issue by others for them. Can still tell what spec a druid is just by looking at which resource meter he is using the most even if you can't see his form. Other classes, still not so much.

Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
Its indeed a roleplay thing that the druid transforms physically into a bear/cat/moonkin when you shapeshift into bear/cat/moonkin.
In humanoid form display whatever glyph you want to but in shapeshifts it should show a bear/cat/moonkin and skins from the store should resemble a bear/cat/moonkin.
Anyone saying it just display an energy bar doesn't make much sense as there can be more enemies and you may not be targeting the druid and still you will notice way faster a cat/bear than the color of a bar.
As for pvp/pve there are 2 server I don't know why there aren't applying diferent changes yet tbh.

Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
Druid form is way more important than warrior stance and you can notice the warrior stance when it changes it. Its not about noticing the spec. Its about druid being a leather class while bear form being a plate with shield.Fugus wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2024 2:42 am This logic never made sense why it was such a huge deal to not be able to see a druids form but zero issue being able to not see a warriors stance from that same person.

Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
Cosmetic skins can be annoying sometimes. It feels like they’re more of a distraction than anything else, especially when you want to focus on gameplay. Plus, some people seem too obsessed with them, making it all about the skins instead of having fun. I don't mind the idea of skins, but when it starts affecting how people play, it can get a bit much. I’d rather enjoy the game without all the extra stuff. If you're looking to sell any skins from CS2, though, I found this site that can help you sell cs2 skins instantly. It might make things a bit easier if you want to eliminate them!

Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
RP always takes precedence over PVP. If you want the opposite, try finding a PvP only hard-classic server

Re: Cosmetic Skins Are Incredibly Annoying
Best would be an option to have within a client's settings somewhere in video section or options (idc really) where you just click it and either accept t-mog visible or not. In BGs though, I agree, no t-mog should be visible.Manletow wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 3:56 pm T-WoW PVE RP Costumes have impacted this negatively im afraid.
