This patch has been a massive undertaking for everyone in the team involved, amassing over 1300(!) new items for this patch alone, some with completely new effects such as the new relics and quite a few items from Upper Karazhan. This total number does not count the existing item changes, item set changes and item set additions such as the many new and unique set bonuses added with Alternative Tier Sets and Tier 3.5, a few off-set item sets from Upper Karazhan and a few item sets for Jewelcrafting.
Keep in mind all changes are subject to change and to not look at these changes in a vacuum, this is the massive class changes patch after all.
Summary:
- Adjusted quite a few dungeon drops, especially changing Uncommon items in dungeons at or above level 40 to be Rare quality and buffed accordingly. We've also buffed the majority of Gilneas City boss drops to make the dungeon desirable outside of completing quests.
- We've turned the dial back slightly on most of the Moroes drops.
- Almost all of the Royal Seals of Eldre'thalas have been revamped to be useful for majority of specializations, exceptions being already good for all the specializations of that class.
- Quite a few old items were adjusted and a few new ones were added in accordance to the weapon skill formula rework.
- Moved the new items away from the original Ouro loot table and into a new one alongside with even more new items in it.
- Buffed most of the underperforming caster staves in tiers below Naxxramas more worthwhile to use, primarily buffing their spellpower to be near equal to one-handed weapon and off-hand frill/shield options.
- Buffed reputation rewards for Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin, making the grind much more worthwhile.
- Buffed Atiesh for Priest to have spellpower equal to Warlock and Mage, and Atiesh for Druid to have more feral attack power, changed the aura granted to be useful for all roles and added spellpower similiar to the Priest version.
- Revamped or improved a few existing set bonuses, notably the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj Tier Set for Hunter and Zul'Gurub Tier Set for Warlock.
- Revamped itemization on a few original tier sets due to them no longer being split in power between multiple specializations thanks to the introduction of Alternative Tier Sets.
Majority of these changes were made to integrate Survival Hunter and Deep Destruction Warlock abilities into existing tier sets, this was done instead of adding completely new tier sets due to these specializations requiring the same stats as the current sets provide. In addition to this we've polished and reworked a few underwhelming set bonuses to be much more useful and relevant.
As a specific note, the Hunter Tier 2 8 Set Bonus was converted to be a personal buff due this effect being way too powerful if it also included melee attack power and to make it a less mandatory effect as a raid debuff.
- Hunter Tier 0/0.5 (6/4 Set): Also triggers from melee attacks.
- Hunter Zul'Gurub Set (3 Set): Also reduces the cooldown of your Wing Clip.
- Hunter Zul'Gurub Set (5 Set): Now does the following: "Reduces the time between periodic ticks and duration of Serpent Sting by 20%."
- Hunter Tier 1 (8 Set): Also increases the damage of your Carve by 15%.
- Hunter Tier 2 (3 Set): Now also increases the melee attack power of your Aspect of the Wolf by 20%.
- Hunter Tier 2 (8 Set): Now does the following: "You have a chance whenever you deal melee or ranged damage to gain the Detect Weakness effect. Detect Weakness increases your Attack Power by 450 for 7 sec."
- Hunter Tier 2.5 (3 Set): Now does the following: "Your Serpent Sting damage has a 20% chance to deal 100 Nature damage and energize you for 40 Mana."
- Hunter Tier 3 (6 Set): Also triggers from melee attacks.
- Hunter Tier 3 (8 Set): Also reduces the mana cost of your Raptor Strike, Mongoose Bite and Carve.
- Warlock Zul'Gurub Set (3 Set): Now does the following: "Corruption now deals an amount of damage equal to 1.5 sec. of Corruption upon application."
- Warlock Zul'Gurub Set (5 Set): Also reduces the cooldown of Soul Fire.
- Warlock Tier 1 (8 Set): Also reduces the mana cost of Fire spells.
- Warlock Tier 3 (2 Set): Now has a chance to trigger from Searing Pain with half the chance of Shadow Bolt.
- Warrior Tier 0/0.5 (6/4 Set): Also energizes you for 10 Rage when triggered.
- Mage Tier 2 (8 Set): Now correctly triggers on spell cast instead of spell hit.
- Shaman Tier 2.5 (5 Set): Reworked, now does the following: "Your Chain Lightning is imbued with unpredictable storm energies, it now chains to an additional target and deals 15% increased damage if it hits only one target."
- Shaman Tier 3 (8 Set): Now grants 15 MP5 while Water Shield is active instead of Lightning Shield.
Tier Set Itemization Changes:
- Converted Tier 2.5 Shaman Original Set into a full Elemental Set. Removed Agility and Strength from all pieces in accordance to this change.
- Stormcaller's Diadem:Intellect and Stamina increased from 22 to 24, added 5 MP5.
- Stormcaller's Pauldrons: Intellect increased from 13 to 16, Stamina increased from 15 to 16, increased MP5 from 4 to 6.
- Stormcaller's Hauberk: Intellect and Stamina increased from 24 to 25, Spellpower increased from 32 to 41.
- Stormcaller's Leggings: Intellect and Stamina increased from 22 to 23, Spellpower increased from 29 to 34.

Stat Adjustments:
- Meditation's stat budget has seen a lookover. In simple terms: Some items should see a small nerf while some items should see an overall buff from this change. If a Meditation item is not listed in the stat specific changelog section below then the item is unchanged.
- Resillience is seeing a complete rework. Instead of reducing your chance to be critically struck, it will instead reduce the damage of critical strikes and damage over time effects on you, making it much more oriented for PvP combat, as it was mostly utilized by PvE tanks to get rid of critical strikes from bosses.
The conversion rate is: 1% reduced chance to get critically struck is turned into 3% reduced damage from critical strikes and damage over time effects. To avoid any confusion, anything in the changelog that lists resillience as 3% is for the new version of the stat, equal to 1% of the old version.
Please keep in mind that this change will go live alongside other class centric changes such as the addition of the Alternative Tier Sets and the second batch of Class Changes, don't look at this in a vacuum.
As a foreword to these changes, please keep in mind that the weapon skill formula was adjusted to make each point of skill about half as good as it was in Vanilla while removing the hidden formula that granted +1% Hit upon reaching the soft cap, and that you can permanently gain +5 Skill for all weapon types by doing their specific questlines and all racial weapon skill gains were reduced from +5 to +3, please consider these changes with that in mind.
These changes should allow physical damage dealers to have more options in gaining weapon skill and not being pigeonholed into specific items for the rest of their character's progression such as Edgemaster's Handguards.

- Hedgecutter: Added +3 Skill to 1H Axes, reduced Stamina from 12 to 10.
- Anubisath Warhammer: Increased 1H Maces skill from +4 to +5, reduced Attack Power from 32 to 26.
- Spineshatter: Added +5 Skill to 1H Maces, reduced Stamina from 16 to 13, removed 5 Defense.
- Claymore of Unholy Might: Added +7 Skill to Two-Handed Swords, removed 15 Intellect.
- Drake Talon Cleaver: Added +8 Skill to 2H Axes, reduced Strength from 22 to 17.
- Tempest's Rage: Added +4 Skill to 1H Swords.
- Dragonfang Blade: Added +5 Skill to Daggers, reduced Agility from 16 to 13.
- Bile-Covered Gauntlets: Added +7 Skill to 1H and 2H Axes, removed 20 Nature Resistance.
- Blooddrenched Grips: Added +5 Skill to 1H Axes, reduced Stamina from 16 to 12.
- Flameguard Gauntlets: Added +7 Skill to 2H Axes, reduced Stamina from 13 to 6.
- Legplates of the Qiraji Command: Added +2 Skill to 1H and 2H Swords, reduced Strength from 20 to 16.
- Slime-coated Leggings: Added +5 Skill to Polearms, removed 11 Spellpower.
- Eye of Nerub: Added +5 Skill to Polearms, no longer grants +2 Skill to Bows, Guns and Crossbows.
- Added two new gauntlets to Ouro's new loottable which grant weapon skill to various weapon types, similiarly to Edgemaster's Handguards, read more on that below.
- Added a new loottable with 4 new items and 2 existing items that were originally added to the existing loottable.

We have introduced alternate sets for Tier 3 (Naxxramas) and recognize that the scraps obtained from raid trash drops may not suffice for all the new gear that raiders will desire. To avoid excessive farming for a limited group, we are introducing an alternative method for obtaining scraps. Moving forward, you will have the option to disenchant tokens dropped in Naxxramas, with the following rewards available:
- Priest, Mage, Warlock: 7-15 Cloth Scraps
- Warrior, Rogue: 5-10 Leather Scraps, 5-10 Plate Scraps
- Paladin, Hunter, Shaman, Druid: 7-15 Chain Scraps, 1-5 Leather Scraps, 1-5 Plate Scraps

- Band of Servitude: Spellpower increased from 23 to 27, Stamina reduced from 8 to 5, Intellect reduced from 9 to 5.
- Ring of the Academy: Spellpower reduced from 16 to 12.
- Epaulets of the Forgotten Past: Replaced 6 Defense with 18 Spellpower, reduced MP5 from 4 to 3.
- Visor of Command: The strength aura's range has been increased from 20 to 35 yards, and no longer gets overriden by other strength buffs.
- Blazing Rapier: Now deals 100 Fire damage over 20 seconds instead of 30 seconds.
- Blackfire Orb and Orb of Kaladoon: Now has 1% Haste and 15 Spellpower.
- Flame Wrath: Damage reflect spell coefficient reduced to 1%.
- Blade of Eternal Darkness and Ornate Bloodstone Blade: Spells that deal damage to multiple targets (ex. Blizzard, Chain Lightning) only count as one hit per damage tick.
Reduced the former's spellpower scaling from 15% to 5%.
- Manual Crowd Pummeler and Battery-Powered Crowd Pummeler: Now increases swing speed by 20% instead of increasing attack speed by 50%, meaning the haste amount is reduced from 50% to 20% and no longer functions in shapeshifting forms and the ability now has a 20 minute cooldown. Attack speed increased from 2.0 to 2.9, the DPS remains the same.
- Battery-Powered Crowd Pummeler: Now a Rare weapon. Strength increased from 16 to 21, Agility increased from 5 to 13, DPS increased from 29 to 43.3.
- Wushoolay's Charm of Spirits: Now affects Water Shield and Earth Shield too but effectiveness has been reduced from 100% to 25%.
- Totem of Crackling Thunder: Now procced by Lightning Strike and proc chance reduced from 10% to 5% for Lightning Strike, Lightning Bolt is unchanged at 5%.
- Aegis of Preservation: Completely reworked, now does the following: "Increases your target's armor by 800, and heals 150 damage every time the target takes ranged or melee damage and expends a charge. Lasts 5 charges or 20 sec."
- Arcane Infused Gem: Now affects the next 3 Arcane Shots or Mongoose Bites and lasts 20 seconds instead of 10 seconds. Spellpower scaling coefficient of the Arcane Explosion caused by this trinket reduced to 5%.
- Band of Arcane Dampening, Charged Arcane Ring, Tusk of Gardon, Arcane Strengthened Band, Arcane Charged Pendant: Changed to have 12 of its main stat and 15 Arcane Resistance.
- Invocation of Greater Arcane Fortitude: Arcane resistance granted reduced from 35 to 25.
- Nightfall: Spell damage taken increase reduced from 15% to 10%, duration increased from 5 seconds to 7 seconds.
- Annihilator: Armor reduction per stack reduced from 200 to 100, proc chance increased from 1 procs per minute to 2 procs per minute.
- Silithid Claw: Now equipped in the Off-Hand instead of Main Hand.
- Wormscale Stompers: Now grants 1% Physical and Spell Hit instead of 5 MP5.
- Nature's Call: Now properly has 90 durability.
- Treant's Bane: Removed Stamina, Reduced Strength from 25 to 22, Lowered Attack Speed to 3.5, Added a New Proc unique to this weapon.
- Refined Plague Strain: Now instantly applied when used, the use range has been increased from 5 to 30 yards, now has 5% spellpower scaling and (hopefully) should properly damage targets within 8 yards of the initial target too.
- Scythe of the Harvest: Procs Per Minute reduced from 3 to 2, but now grants 16 Strength.
- Idol of the Emerald Rot: Damage increased from "90 to 131" to "150 to 191" damage, and the Poison Bolt is now guaranteed to land.
- Harmonious Gauntlets: Increased all stats from 5 to 8, reduced Healing Power from 51 to 42.
- Peacekeeper Gauntlets: Increased Stamina from 7 to 8, increased MP5 from 4 to 6, reduced Healing Power from 59 to 51. These two gauntlets were reduced in healing power to compensate for the increase coming with the new Holy Paladin talent Ironclad.
- Bracelets of Royal Redemption: Increased all stats by 1, reduced Healing Power from 53 to 46.
- Might of Menethil: Now grants 406 Feral Attack Power.
- Dream's Herald: Proc's attack speed reduction no longer stacks with similiar effects.
- Libram of the Dreamguard: Reduced amount of Holy Shield charges granted from 2 to 1.
- Breath of Solnius: Now has a 15 second internal cooldown, duration of the effect increased from 15 seconds to 20 seconds and multi-target heals only count as one instance of healing in terms of proc chance.
- Jadestone Protector: Replaced 1% Resillience with 1% Block. Increased Defense from 8 to 9.
- Gold Ore: Now uses the proper Gold Ore icon instead of reusing the Copper Ore icon.
- Ferra's Collar: Now properly grants your pet 4% increased damage.
- Wing of the Time-Lord: Haste reduced from 2% to 1%.
- Bonereaver's Edge: Procs per minute returned to original Vanilla value, reducing it from 3 to 2.
- Chromie's Broken Pocket Watch: The triggered effect is now a Physical debuff instead of a buff.
- Scale of the Red Drake: Added 10 Fire Resistance, buffed Fire Spellpower from 14 to 19.
- Biznicks 247x128 Accurascope: Changed enchant text from "+3% Hit" to "Scope (+3% Ranged Hit)". This is only a description update to make it clear that this enchant only increases ranged hit chance, functionality remains unchanged from Vanilla.
- New Item Set: Possessions of the Lost. Perhaps the long dead should be disturbed after all.
- Eye of Diminution: Spell critical strike chance increased from 2% to 3%.
- Atiesh (Priest): Spellpower increased from 120 to 150 to be on par with the other full spellpower versions.
- Atiesh (Druid): Class special aura changed from 11 MP5 to 2% Haste. Feral Attack Power increased from 420 to 600. Now also grants 150 Spellpower similiar to the Priest version.
- Spinal Reaper: Mana granted increased from 150 to 300.
- Bhartec's Lost Wand: DPS increased to 6.6, now properly deals Shadow damage.
- Withered Wand: Item level increased from 5 to 7, increased DPS to 6.7.
- Warmth of Forgiveness: Increased mana granted on use from 500 to 700.
- Libram of Divinity/Totem of Sustaining and Libram of Light/Totem of Life: Healing reduced from 53 to 28 for the former two and healing reduced from 83/80 to 41/40.
This change was done because the effect implies that this effect functions like healing power obeying coefficients, while these effects actually functioned as flat healing increase, after this these relics should increase healing by approximately the original intended amount displayed on the items. In short terms, this made these items be slightly more than double in power, equalling around 123 healing power for the rare relics and around 189 healing power for the epic ones. To prevent further confusion around these items we've removed the "up to" text from these items to fully represent they are flat healing increases.
- Fey Dreamcatcher: Now grants 3% Meditation and 6 Spirit passively instead of an active on use HoT.
- Ring of Forlorn Spirits: Reduced Spirit from 7 to 2.
- Feymist Robe: Increased Spirit from 10 to 12.
- Sandals of Inner Peace: Reduced Spirit from 15 to 13.
- Isle Watcher's Sash: Replaced 3 Agility with 3 Spirit.
