How Different Are Warlocks in Turtle Wow?

Post by Lovecrafts » Fri May 27, 2022 3:51 pm

I just joined the Turtle WoW community and I was interested with starting out with a Warlock as my first character. Just how different are Warlock in Turtle compared to Vanilla or Classic WoW? Should I just follow my favorite Affliction or Demonology builds? Or are were there some interesting changed made in Turtle for Warlocks?

All classes are 99% the same with classic besides a few bugs And minor changes

1. Paladins have holystrike
2. Arcane missiles proc clesrcasting on ever missile
3. A few new items have been added here and there

There are no siginficstt changes to warlocks (yet)

Actually on season of mastery there is no debuff limit anymore while here we still have the standard 16 (planned to be raised to 24)

Oh wait there is one significant exploit that you can use to boost, our dps by 15%

Get the dualspecc device and sacrifice succubus for +15% shadow damage for 30m

Then switch to a affliction n specc with the +10% shadow damage and ruin in destruction tree for shadow bolt crits.

Not trying to derail the topic, but since this was brought up…

In my experience, even with only a 10% chance to proc, this is delightfully broken~

Anyway, here's hoping there's some intentional additions to 'locks in the future, hey?
Incubus minion, anyone? Doo-hoo-hoo~
Not currently playing. Just skulking and snarking~

Heres what you get for playing warlock;
Curse of Exhaustion not working, talent points don't do anything, it doesn't even consume Amplify Curse,
Felhunter silence not silencing schools if counterspellling,
Succubus seduce not casting if shes autoattacking/autocasting,
Voidwalker taunt not holding threat unless you like wanding and alt tabbing,
Lower spell scaling than usual since they borked spell scaling a while back and 'returned' it to lower than normal
Most pet-related trinkets/gear don't work, check git theyre still unresolved

You're still going to press curse and afk in the corner during raid, and since our only competitive edge against mages, which was done in classic ...

is going to be removed, you are probably going to fight for the 2 slots in the group and the 2nd lowest played class will maintain its position

No, turtle doesnt like anything related to shadow,
Shadow priests are also shafted since vamp embrace doesnt scale properly due the reason earlier

This no longer works. I just tried on my lvl 52 warlock and activating/changing specs on the Goblin Brainwashing Device clears the 30m buff.
