Marking Targets Solo?

Is there a macro or add on that you can use to mark mobs up when not in a group? Would help when trying to find NPCs or quest mobs. Or is this something only possible in later versions.

Well, I know this isn't what you were asking, but /target [target] does help. For example, if you're wandering around Stormwind Keep and you "/target Anduin", his name will appear over his head (if you "show target name" enabled in Interface Options) and a selection glow will appear under his feet.

This can also be used from greater distances, the side-effect being that the target's portrait only appears when you're within 100m of them, or so.

Hopefully, someone else can help you with an actual AddOn, though.
