How to activate Warmode?

I've started playing the game and i heared about the warmode.

Can I activate it even if i'm levelling or should i start a new charachter?

How precisely can i activate warmode? I looked in the website and on several threads but couldn't find it.

At the starting areas there are Glyph Masters who sell various glyphs. Just keep your eyes peeled and you'll see them.
