Turtle WoW Classes Attribute Ratings (PvP Guide)

Post by Manletow » Thu Nov 16, 2023 4:48 pm

NOTE: I realize this rating system is wonky as some attributes are more relevant in PVP scenarios than others.
(but I considered them all equal for this 'experiment')
And some classes can't heal (or have very minor healing) and im not sure how to 'factor' that in.
It's mostly for fun and a very vague general guide of "power levels".

Like I said its wonky; for instance -- Druid should certainly be LOWER on the Tier List. And Warlock should be HIGHER.

Hmmmm interesting thoughts :)

Maybe give each stat different weight?

Let say some stats are gonna be x/5 some x/10 some maybe even x/15?

So you get something like x/xx in the end?

Although your rating is reasonable, the result cannot reflect the true pvp ability of a profession. Let me give you an example: You gave Frost Mage 4 points, but in Turtle Warcraft, a branch can affect the mage's spellcasting. In a wild environment, any rogue who knows how to play can use the terrain at will to escape from the battle under the eyes of the mage. As a senior WoW player, you know what it means for a rogue to escape from the battle. The above is my opinion. Thank you for your post. My most sincere blessings.

And 1/5 burst damage on arms warrior. You know, that warrior spec known for its big juicy 2h crits.
Elmhoof - 60 Feral Tank (Main)
Anbone 29 Shadow Priest (Planned secondary main)

Hardly touching the game any more, unfortunately. Not sure why exactly, but WoW's just not scratchin' that itch. Heck, not really any game does now maintenance_turtle

I thought i was the only one thinking these ratings are way off...
It's a totally subjective tier list, that doesn't get more objective because numbers were used.
And there is no guide part.

Go againe! ;)

Rogue got 1/5 because Sap is overpowered in PVP. (Wisely nerfed in TBC)
Pretty much all their other CC breaks on damage so those abilities are only good for meaningless 1v1 duels.
(Cheap Shot is good but is conditional and costs lots of energy.)

As for Arms Warrior: their burst damage is awful.
they require 30 rage to use Mortal Strike and die before they even generate 30 rage.

Even worse is that all their attacks are mitigated by armor. Mortal Strike hits like a wet noodle against Plate wearers (like the extremely popular/OP Paladin class for example)

Indeed, Paladins Holy Strike is vastly more powerful due to ignoring armor completely. And its somewhat cheap to 'cast' and is acquired for free (no talents required) at level 4.

Warrior is just awful. Especially when Paladins exist
