Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Thank you! Yes, I put on some nice music and just went off with it. Had lots of fun making it.
Also, Merikkinon. You should really be careful what kind of Murloc you ask for. You only said pet murloc...

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches

A little something I whipped up for the last day of Christmas! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!

There will be an alternate version coming soon, preferably before the end of the year, just for laughs

Happy Holidays Fellow Turtles!
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Knock, knock, etc. Marry Christmas!
Looks very cosy and warm :-)
But eh.... were are the presents?!

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
In the alternate version, there will be presents!
Abigail is waiting for them, determined to see it happen.
First time drawing fire. I must say, it is a lot harder that I thought but it all came together neatly in the end :)

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches

A bit late but I finally finished the alternative version! *phew*

Still, it was lost of fun to mess around with the scene a bit.
Hope you turtles enjoy it as much as I did!

P.S.: Drawing feet and hands is hard... but I think so far, these turned out to be the best.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Oh, she has fallen asleep. Not a surprise.
But she got the rabbit she was drawing!
I like to think that if it were a 4-pane comic, in the 3rd pane, the little Imp would drag a blanket to cover her and in the last pane she is sleeping under the blanket.

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Sometimes, the Imp *CAN* be nice after all...
But that would be too cute and I would probably overload haha

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches

Gotta catch'em all! Well, sometimes you catch a Cold!

A little something I did this morning for a Pikachu Badge on Deviant Art. Totally Worth it!

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches

I present to you the Cover Art of my upcoming WoW Fan Comic! It takes place in Vanilla WoW times and begins from Elwynn Forest. I will be posting the text of the story in a separate thread.
Hope you turtles enjoy it! I certainly had lots of joy making this.

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches

A little something I whipped up for my Mom's birthday today.
The cake reads 'Happy Birthday Mom' in Hungarian.

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches

Cover Art for Chapter II of the Wayward Apprentice presenting Lem and Abigail, two very different personalities.
They are both me really...

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches

This is an old Halloween comic, turned into a shading study I have been working on for a long time. Finally it is finished and I must say, I learned a lot from it. And brought to it what I have learned doing other projects. I'm happy with the result and I hope you turtles enjoy it too!

Also, this is Part I. She will fly in Part II.

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
I wonder if there will be anyone that has ANY idea about the words in the witches' book.
Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
I'm interested to see that too. If nobody knows, I'll provide a translation ;)

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
-Step 1: Find what script it could be. It seemed similar to the old Russian medieval scripts that were carved on tree barks, so I started from there.
-Step 2: Looking at other asian steppe scripts I found characters to be the close to the Göktürk script (used by mongol and other turkic peoples), so then I checked the child scripts derived from there.
-Step 3: It turned out to be the so called 'Old Hungarian script'.
-Step 4: Then I translated the script and got complete garbage first (according to the translator engines).
-Step 5: Then I thought that maybe the artist did not use the script in its intended order (writing right-to-left), and reversed the letter order.
-Step 6: Then I could get some of the words. After that I played around with some of the letters that look alike another, and indeed I mis-translated 2 characters as 'N' when they are 'O' and another as 'G' when it's an 'L'.
-Step 7: Fixing that gave me the result as:
'bo[sz]orka[ny] repülés' 'vé[gy] e[gy] seprüt és e[gy] ma[cs]kat'
'witch flying' 'take a broom and a cat'

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Oh WOW! Mcnair, you are amazing and I tip my witch-hat to you!
You did a lot of research, very clever figuring it out. I did not realize how difficult it might be to find what script it is if you have never heard of it haha.
I didn't want to make it too complex, writing right to left is... well I've never done it. Did not want to butcher the script any further...

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Love the cat's expression. It's like "wtf is going on here, folks?"
Awesome piece!

Re: Tiny Shoebox of Sketches
Hehe That's exactly right! Abigail was like: I'm taking you now. :) " Glad you like it!
