Can't DE Thorium Greatsword

Here I was mooching about ... I thought - I'll just make a few Thorium Greatswords to boost my BS'ing and then I can Disenchant them to get some extra stuff before i go for 225 trainer in Uldaman...

Turns out it won't let me... "Item can't be disenchanted"

- so I'm wondering is this working as expected even though its a green (uncommon) item after all; or as a fairly new addition to the system - is it that it hasn't been hooked up to the disenchanting table?

Should be disenchantable. Do you have your WDB folder empty? Make so.

yeah I'd done this fairly recently - cleaned out again today and still no joy... Still comes up as 'Item cannot be disenchanted'

I'm guessing that when you replicate this it works for you?

Thorium Greatsword can't be disenchanted, according to both Turtle WoW and vMaNGOS databases. I tend to believe it's correct, since they've recently updated their items to match the Classic data.

What was the reasoning for that? 3% chance for that Brilliant Shard?

Is this just for the Thorium Greatsword or has anyone noticed a DE table discrepancy with any of the other 'new' patterns?
