hard to explain but the game for me looks smushed and very wide. i tried changing video settings but nothing is changing. i see videos and pics of other peoples and theres looks pretty normal. any idea how to fix this?

Sounds to me that your game resolution does not match your monitor resolution.

hm, i tried all the options, including using a monitor, and my laptop by itself.

yes i tried all those..i was saying options as in 2 different monitors to see if maybe the resolution options fit the screens better
