For some reason it's not letting me get into character select it keeps trying to connect to server I don't know if I have to update or how to really

I'm having a similar issue as well. I logged on for 2 seconds on an alt, as I was logging off to switch to my main I got disconnected from the server. Tried to log back in, and it wouldn't connect. Might be down for maintenance, but I'm not sure.
