From Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne game manual:

"Believed to be the ill omen of a coming age, white tauren are held in near reverence by their people, often becoming reclusive priests who wander the land in search of kindred spirits."

From World of Warcraft The Roleplaying Game: Magic & Mayhem:

"Some tribes consider a tauren born with a white pelt to be destined to become a spirit walker."

I made a patch to make available a Tauren skin based on the W3 unit "Spirit Walker". It replaces the default white skin by a whiter skin imported from Wotlk.

The skin comes with 3 different faces only (wotlk special dk skin restriction...). In a near future, I will add face tattoos to stick more to the W3 skin, but for now I'm kinda lazy.

This patch gives tattoos to tauren males. Replaces 1 face for 5 skin types. Enjoy.

So If I wanted to make one today, can I use one of these old addon-patches? or would it mess up my game?

It could mess your game indeed. That's why some of the skins will be included in the patch and we already have some of those in Speedy's Shop.

No worries, I was just trying to make an awesome Tauren Shaman with these new Tattoo, I wasn't trying to purchase the Spirit Skin
