Turtle wow client

Hi, I was wondering about the client that turtle wow uses. Can I download my own client for vanilla wow off a torrenting site, and set the server list to turtle servers like in the old days? To what extent would I have to mod a blizzard client in order to connect to turtle wow's server? I wanted to try my hand at creating an even more low res version of wow, considering these days I can easily run wow and pop a terminal down infront of the game, and still have resources on my computer to do my daily business. It's really incredible to see this explode in 2022! So yeah, and information, if anyone off the top of their heads is familliar with old posts, I will scavenge them. Use the one they provide. It's been pre-modified (the exe itself) to facilitate changes conducive to the gameplay experience (increased draw distance of units and game objects, higher RAM usage, etc).
